血 [chi] = blood
Drawing in the early hours before the dawn is like a heavy vodka drinking session. I woke up after two hours of sleep, opened files and it was all 'wtf just how I drew something like this?!'.
(cough) I don't like abusing canon… Or rather: I don't like my ways of canon abuse.

Well, kanji were born in China. Matsu explained that in ancient China when one made a real promice he/she had to drink a cup of animal blood, that's why this kanji symbolizes a cup with a little line that points to the center of this cup, drawing our attention to what's in it, the blood. Matsuoka repeated it for a couple of times (he thought we still didn't understand what the heck that was) and gesticulated a lot and I was his victim...))))) he formed his palms like a cup and extended his hands to my direction
