No sound, 190 frames, 18.9 seconds (my longest one yet!)

Once upon a time, there was a little ice elephant. He was very sad because it was winter, but it hadn't snowed. So the poor little fellow just sat sadly in his cold, snowless world. Suddenly he felt a sneeze coming on. . . Ahh-choo! And there was plenty of snow. The little ice elephant was very happy with his discovery, and from then on never had to live without snow again. The End.

Just a little story to explain the animation. And, yes the little ice elephant eventually becomes a master at making himself sneeze.

This was actually inspired by my wildlife calendar. The picture for December is one of a baby elephant standing out in some grass. It's cute and all, but I kind of would rather they just went with polar bears, or penguins, or something like that. Something with snow. Something that kind of fits in more with that idealized Hallmark card version of winter. So I started thinking of how to match a baby elephant with winter, and got the little ice elephant! He doesn't look much different from a regular elephant because he's a baby, but once he got bigger he'd be much more impressive. Maybe I'll draw an adult version one of these days.
