Bloody brilliant...

So much detail! It's sad that oftentimes these monstrous things take forever to draw,
but in a comic book they just get glanced at and that's it.

I recently had my sister tell me that being an artist is cool - and I had a fit:
"Cool, COOL?! You spend your soul, your health, hours, DAYS on a drawing - only
to have someone take 10 second to announce that 'Cool.'"
I suppose I was hyperventilating by then,
so I got off with a
"... You want to talk about it?"

I spend a diligent amount of 5 minutes to study and appreciate this,
I bow before your patience and a great grasp of perspective!

I totally understand what you are saying, I better not think about it
It's even worse when doing comic books. The more I work on them, the more I think the art part is something like the soundtrack of a movie : a background atmosphere, nothing more. The reader follows the text and, most of the time, only have a quick peripheral look to the drawings around that...
Well, I better not think about it... (...even if I love film scores )
