I lay down on the cold ground
And I, I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms"

A Few WordsThere's not much to say about this shot for me. My main photography partner advo-kate and I ventured to Rowden Park together to get some shots during a recent winter storm. The shots we got were marvelous, but we were quite poorly prepared - neither of us even thought to bring gloves! Needless to say, the shoot didn't last long, but it was so worth it to see the beauty of the storm as the snow fell.
Feedback welcome and appreciated!

This is a highly elegant-looking photo. The colours look fantastic and the angle this was taken at is brilliant. The way the falling snow was captured is magnificent, which is what makes this piece beautiful. This photo makes one feel at ease not solely because of the falling snow but in the manner it was captured. I also like how the contrasts in this photo aren't sharp as I believe there should be a subtle feel when snow is falling. Snow is delicate as should be the contrasts. This concept makes the subject matter exemplify grace. All in all, excellent work!

Thank you so much for your glowing review of my photograph! This is the first critique I've received and I was so excited to see it in my notifications! It's uncommon to receive more than "nice" or "pretty" in response to many works these days.
This photo is something I've always wanted to capture, but wasn't sure how. I love images that capture the snow falling, but I wanted something different, too. I'm especially glad that you enjoy the angle - I thought it made for a unique perspective but didn't really consider that it might be popular with others.
I truly appreciate the time you took to write about my piece, so, again, thank you, really, for acknowledging my photo this way.

Not a problem at all! I am quite a lenient person. I am not a strict person but that's just me being me, lol! However, I try to be honest and constructive with my critiques as best as possible. Your photograph was amazing and I was impressed by it. I am fascinated by the snow as I find it to be graceful and elegant. I am happy to hear that you liked my critique. I am still new to this tool but I'm enjoying critiquing artworks here on Deviantart. Have a beautiful day!

Again, thank you, and thank you for supporting my work so much. I am always happy when I get a fave, but there's something about seeing the same people faving your work that is extra exciting because you know that not just one piece, but many of your pieces, have touched someone.
Hope you're having a lovely week!

I really like this, there's something super evocative and oppressive about it, like being trapped in a snowstorm. Great stuff

Glad you like it! This is certainly one of my more popular photos and I can't believe how much people like it!
The storm was beautiful, and peaceful, and unsettling all at once. It was a lovely experience to venture out during it.
