One of the first shots from a shoot I did with Steamkittens as Lara Croft!!Model: Me

I decided that I wanted to do a Lara Croft Tomb Raider costume, although I wasn't sure if the new version would work best for my body type. So I had run across a couple of comic covers drawn by AdamHughes
and decided that I wanted to do that version.
The top looked to be made out of latex based on the artwork so I went with that. We made a custom leather gun rig to go along side the double Desert Eagles, a custom leather backpack and found some awesome brown New Rock boots.

Amazing recreation! This really feels just like something off one of the Hughes covers ( I love his art), you did a spectacular job.
It always amazes me how what works in a game/comic suddenly seems so minimalist in the real world. Looking at it here it's like "That is not tomb raiding equipment... Heck, I'm not even sure if that's satisfactory day hiking equipment! Go back to sporting goods, Lara!"

It's funny that you mention that. I am planning a different version of LC just because this one isn't optimal for doing anything other than posing. I would be afraid to catch the latex on a rock or something and it would just pop off like a rubber band.
Although I was able to run the Assassin's Creed experience in it and it held up. So who knows.

Wow, really? That's quite impressive actually, I wouldn't have expected it to hold up to any pressure at all. I mean, realistically, if Lara's the bad ass explorer we know her to be why would she think "Hmmm... Yes, I think I'll go to the amazon in latex. That sounds splendid!" ? 
I look forward to seeing the more practical version!
