He is cringing away from murdoc (guy hugging him) because murdoc beats the crap out of him constantly and picks on him all the time. But he pretends to be friends with 2d in public because... idk murdoc is a crack head like that. poor 2d just dosnt want to get hit again. <3
He has black eyes because murdoc ran him over with a car. twice. and 'fractured' his eyes.

lol well i mean there is stuff about it all over the web. 2d saw murdoc as a big brother type thing even though he bullied him. I assume he dosnt anymore now that he kidnapped him and stashed him in a basement for 2 years.... um. but yea. i dont really get the fractured eye thing either but his black eyes are cool so i wont question gorillaz logic C;

Oh, okay I get it now--I was looking it up online. Yeah I didn't know that the cartoons were actually made by the Gorillaz band. I thought they were just this thing people on deviant art made up. But yeah I get it now...Murdoc kind of creeps me out. XD lol, his lizard tongue is so awesome. But also not very healthy. XD lol
