Description ZOMG! A-Xofia can do something other then anime!!!!!! lolol Aren't you shocked? lol


Ok...remember sometime ago I said in my journal that I was able to have one of my works in an art exhibition? This was it.
A lot of people seemed to like it! Especially the strong colours ^___^


Oil on Canvas.
The canvas is about 70x55 cm.

Took me about a month to complete. ^^

I'm afraid the quality of the image isn't the best: it obviously didn't fit in the scanner so I had to take a photo of it >___>

yeah, oils have that power if you learn how to use them ^____^ I've seen gorgeous pics that I have a really hard time figuring out if they are real photos or painting, done in oil! I only aspire to do so...so much to learn lol
I'm a suckr for bright colours! my brain only works in "rainbow mode" XD lol

Yes... I was skiing and... I didn't brake on time... I hit my head on ice... During few days I had a problem with my eyes because when I wanted to see something far I coudn't. But now is better.

you are the first to mention the angle. most people take that for granted, but angle is a big part of the painting. ^^ it was quite tricky too XD

Did you know that to an artist that uses oils (in a non abstract way, more for this sort of thing) to say that it looks realistic is the biggest compliment you can make? it's true. ^^
So thank so so so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love using vibrant tones when working with oils. they are nice to blend and make "smooth" but when you leave little spots of paint almost untouches it stands out so much more to the eye!
Those details! T_______T this pic took me more then a month and the details where so hard (mainly because I dind't have an apropriate brush they're so expensive...) but it was all worth it! ^__________^

oils have one big disadvantage: they take at least a week to dry off! and you must let it dry off between each layer! so it takes a lot of time to complete! but oils make such pretty effects and are so good to make "smooth" paintings!

Obrigado!!!!! é muito diferente do que faço habitualmente mas tou contente de ver que o pessoal está a gostar! é bom saber fazer mais do que só anime.Apesar de adorar fazer cenas estilo anime, axo que é importante saber cenas mais "tradicinais" também e depois o treino que ganhas disto, acredites ou não passa para quando estás a desenhar ou pintar anime!começas a lembrar-te destas regas de luz e tonalidades! ^^ e é a prova que pintura tradicinal não tem k ser "xata", podes muito bem fazer cenas deste género, mais vibrantes e menos convencionais! ^^

Obrigado! se queres que te diga eu sinto que o que aprendi de arte teve esteve muito pouco relacionado com a escola ...não digo que não faxo coisas interessantes em oficina de artes e assim mas "aprender" tecnica mesmo axo que muito pouco aprendi mais numas aulas em que me increvi que são dadas por uma pintora russa, são um maximo essas aulas! ^_______^
