this is lovely. it reminds me of this book i'm reading now. its called city of ember and even though it takes place underground where the only light source the people live by is lightbulbs, this reminds of their greenhouses.

thanks, it can be quite a little sun trap, they are asian salad plants and have managed to survive all through the winter.

it's a little porch outside my kitchen door that I grow plants in because it gets lots of sunshine (when there is some sunshine! it's horrible here today)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gregoryhawk In reply to a-sullen-girl [2008-01-31 14:39:42 +0000 UTC]

my dad lived there for a few years and I went to visit him in London. We also went to Brighton, which I loved, but that's all I've seen of england. That was eight years ago now

a-sullen-girl In reply to fIRebUgs [2008-01-31 08:22:04 +0000 UTC]

thankyou ... I really don't know what I'm doing with it at the moment, and to make things worse I had to play about with the lens housing so I'm sure they are out of sync with each other. The rings are really stiff when I turn them and I don't think that's how they are meant to be, but because I've never used one I don't know

can't wait to see how you get on with yours

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fIRebUgs In reply to a-sullen-girl [2008-01-31 10:34:23 +0000 UTC]

i have heard of people viewing lens and there taking lens becoming out of line, but they said they fixed it.

do you have a flickr ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

a-sullen-girl In reply to fIRebUgs [2008-01-31 10:41:07 +0000 UTC]

mine was old and cheap from ebay and the seller did say that they didn't know if it worked .... I was thinking that I would see how I get on with it and if I love it, maybe I'll try to buy one in really good condition and use this one for experimental work.

I don't have a flickr account, but I am thinking of joining

lovely eerie feeling .... and apart from your vision, due in no small part to the wonderful optics of the Lubitel.

I'm very new to this camera (it's all experimental) and to film still really, but I'm enjoying using it.

glad you like this
