Zombie Queen, the character was originally created and drawn by *Lysol-Jones then the line art was redone by ~t-wei , someone else supplied the blood effect spewing out from the chainsaw, and then finally it was colored by me. That's quite a pass it along assembly line-like process right there.

The original design and creation by *Lysol-Jones was not known to me at the time when I worked on this pic, so as you'll be able to tell from his original pic the color scheme is WAY off. But even if I had seen his, I probably still would have changed it. Black and white is very troublesome when adding shading and highlighting. It's like nailing something down, you can do it but if you're not above average at doing it you may eventually hit your finger with the hammer. In the pic, I created the blood spray effect on the Zombie Queen girl. Going for a more gothic feel for her hair, I chose the multi-colored dark contrast colors of purple and red.

I started working on this pic a week before The Dark Knight came out and finished it roughly three days before Dark Knight was released. I needed to make sure I wasn't working on anything so I could put my full attention on The Joker and his battle with Batman.

For some reason, perhaps the fact TDK was coming out soon, I couldn't focus and figure out which of many versions I liked better. Normally, I can decide which I like in a split second, but I was unable to all that week. So in my days of need, one friend came to my beckon call and helped me decide between the many different versions. She is a friend of mine and one hell of a photographer, ~michii727 , check out her page or I'll f'in cut 'cha.
