FFFFF.

You inspire me so much. I've made my plushies and donated them to sick children. xDDD Haven't put them on deviant because they're so simple compared to others (like yours).

I'll buy some eventually. o3o Need to check if you're open for commishes.

Right now, I am working on my current list of orders. I plan on reopening commissions sometime after I finish all of them.

For the time being, the only plushies available are the ones listed here: [link]

Ffffff. That price on that Nyan cat T_T

But the burgundy kitty looks viable. Just waiting on my checks to clear, and I'll buy one off of you.

It took me 14 hours to make the nyan cat and $30.00 in supplies, which is why it's that price. The furballz don't take as long to make. So, they're $20.00 each plus shipping.

Yeah, I figured. xDD

By not taking as long, how long would the wait be? I'm looking to give one as a bday present.

The link I gave you is for the premade plushies that I have up for sale, which means they have already been made and are ready to be shipped once payment is received.

I am currently in the process of fixing the 'premade plushies for sale' link on all of my deviations. I recently discovered that it is messed up.

But yes. All of the plushies in the 'premade plushies for sale' folder are ready to be shipped once payment is received. [link]

Most of the other plushies in my gallery already have a home. The few that don't are part of my artist alley table inventory for Anime Weekend Atlanta. Leftover inventory gets added to the 'premade plushies for sale' folder after the convention.

Atlanta, why you so far away.

Might you ever come to NJ for AnimeNEXT? You'd be such a hit.

I can look into it, but it may be awhile before I can afford to go to it. I usually just stick with Anime Weekend Atlanta because it's about three hours away from me. At the very least, I would need to break even on expenses in order to make the trip worth it. This is harder to do when the convention is further away.

Fenikkusu64 In reply to A-chan--Creations [2012-08-08 03:38:22 +0000 UTC]

Right. I just see a ton of deviants there in Artist's Alley, and I was surprised when there were only a few plushie makers.

I'd go there myself, but I'm in cosplay panels galore XDDD

A-chan--Creations In reply to Fenikkusu64 [2012-08-08 03:45:42 +0000 UTC]

I guess it depends on the convention. There are quite a few plushie artists at Anime Weekend Atlanta, Anime Central, and Otakon. I've been to Anime Central twice, the first time as an attendee and the second time as an artist. I didn't even break even there, sadly to say, which is why I am hesitant about doing artist alley at a faraway convention again. XD

I've never done artist alley at Otakon, but there has always been a large variety of artists every year I've gone there (2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011). Their rules are more or less the reason I will never do artist alley there, but I do plan to enter a few pieces into the art show eventually.

I wanted to go to Otakon, but things came up. I'm hoping to save enough money to make the 3-hour drive down there worth it. >>;;

What, you not break even? BLASPHEMY.

There's an art show at Otakon? o3o

A-chan--Creations In reply to Fenikkusu64 [2012-08-08 17:27:06 +0000 UTC]

Schoolwork and a lack of funds is what kept me from going to Otakon this year. I'm hoping I'll be able to attend next year. It's an 8-10 hour drive for me, depending on traffic.

At Anime Central 2011, I made the same amount of money that I usually make at Anime Weekend Atlanta every year. Considering that Anime Central is 8-10 hours away from me, while Anime Weekend Atlanta is about three hours away, that doesn't quite cut it as far as sales go.

Basically, I would need to work on improving sales big-time before it will be worth it to go to a convention that's further away.

Yes, there is an art show at Otakon. It's basically a gallery of artwork by various artists, and it's a silent auction. When the bid sheets in the silent auction get completely filled up, the corresponding art pieces will be entered into the live auction on Sunday. This gives the artwork to potential to fetch a lot more money than it would've in the silent auction.

Fenikkusu64 In reply to A-chan--Creations [2012-08-08 17:59:48 +0000 UTC]

8-10 hours? Damn, that's some dedication! xD Your prices and quality are really awesome, so it still puzzles me as to why more people aren't buying your stuff. Perhaps if you made stuff that's currently pop culture (for example, ponies) then you'll make more?

Silent auction? Damnnnn. o3o I'd love to see that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

A-chan--Creations In reply to Fenikkusu64 [2012-08-08 19:11:29 +0000 UTC]

I make it a point to not rely on what's currently popular to make sales. It'd be one thing if someone happened to commission me for a pony (for example), but it's highly unlikely that I'll make something like that on my own time just because it happens to be popular.

I tend to lean towards doing original stuff when it comes to artist alley. The problem doesn't lie with what I bring though. It lies with how much I bring. If I was able to make and bring more stuff, sales would improve. The stuff that I do bring sells really well. It's just not enough stuff to increase my sales.

This is the same reason I usually just stick with doing artist alley once a year. I barely have time to prepare for one artist alley, sadly to say. XD

I'm hoping to have a fund set aside just for Otakon's art show next year so that I actually have a better chance of winning the artwork I bid on. I got outbid last year, unfortunately.

Hm, you do make a good point.

Ahhh, well that explains it. @_@ Bring ALL the plushies! -cheer-

Yeah, I know the feeling of not having a lot of time. It's so much effort to set up a booth and the like too.

Gogogo. Save up~

Between commissions and schoolwork, I have a limited amount of time to work on artist alley table inventory. So, I try to make as much as I can with the time that I have.

I try not to stress myself out too much. That's why I stopped taking on new commissions. I want to give myself time to work on the ones I have now. From there, I was going to give myself some time to work on personal projects and then start taking commissions again.

I've been keeping up with your stuff for about a year now, and I always see that you're busy lol. Good decision on your part.

What kinda personal projects? ;o

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

A-chan--Creations In reply to Fenikkusu64 [2012-08-10 01:17:46 +0000 UTC]

It's mostly original designs that I've been sketching since 2005. I want to wait until I get all of my current commissions done before I start on those. That's part of the reason why I stopped taking on new commissions. The other reason is that I have had a "never ending" list of commissions since 2008. I figured it's about time I allowed myself a break from commissions once I get all of the current ones done.

I plan to start taking commissions again once I have spent some quality time on personal projects.

Lol you're that awesome of a plushie-maker that you always have requests~! Thanks to you and your tutorials (at least, I THINK it's you who does tutorials too?) I've started my own tiny business. Making a decent amount of money off of plushies, hats, and hat/scarfs xD

I do. I may get more though. ;3c I just got a massive check since I'm working overtime over the summer. (I work at a church as an organist/assistant choir director.) It's just the ones on that premade page right.

As of right now, the only ones that I am selling online are the ones listed in the 'premade plushies for sale' folder. I will likely have more to add to that folder after Anime Weekend Atlanta. It just depends on which ones end up selling at my artist alley table.

Do you want me to put one of the burgundy furballz on hold for you, or do you just want to pick from what's leftover after Anime Weekend Atlanta?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Fenikkusu64 In reply to A-chan--Creations [2012-08-14 12:38:57 +0000 UTC]

Depends on what you're BRINGING to Anime Weekend Atlanta.

A-chan--Creations In reply to Fenikkusu64 [2012-08-14 14:19:27 +0000 UTC]

Everything in the 'premade plushies for sale' folder except for the nyan cat will be brought to Anime Weekend Atlanta. Everything else that I will be bringing will be marked as artist alley table inventory in the artist's comments.

As of right now, that will be the brown/blue furballz and the coral/turquoise furballz. I will be adding more furballz as well as other plushies between now and Anime Weekend Atlanta.
