Well, I did the "background" in SAI, but does that even count? xD I just didn't want it to be that ugly yellow-white that the paper appears as after I scan it... also there was some other things around this drawing which kind of made adding a background with my markers impossible :b
I haven't ever drawn anything like this.. I've never coloured water with markers before... I've never blended like I did with this picture before... a lot of trial and error went into this picture, so there's obviously a lot of mistakes, but I think it came out really well despite that!
You would have never guessed that this picture was inspired by WoodenToaster and TheLivingTombstone's Love Me Cheerilee... xD

Yeah, this was fun, also very interesting.. I had to look up waves and splashes several times before I lined this... I really didn't want it to look weird xD
That's all, hope you guys like this! If you do.. I'll probably do more traditional stuff
I've always felt my traditional stuff was better than my digital works anyway

Oh man, please, please, please make this an 1920x1080 wallpaper. You'll smash the ponynet with it, trust me. I think the waves might need drawn over to expand the width and the background could remain solid like it is.

But if I picked at everything I saw wrong with every show I watched, there would be nothing left, I find mistakes in everything
Honestly though, Why should I have to draw like the show? I prefer drawing in my own style, it gives me creative freedom to do what I want :b

Well, this is subjective.. I prefer the original style because is more cute
And I believe most choose to draw in the show style because it's much more simpler than other.
About the mistakes.. they're just cartoons, so it's acceptable!

Well yes, but they aren't necessarily mistakes if they were intended to be that way.
Like when a character stretches their limbs to impossible lengths to grab something next to them, it's not a mistake but it definitely breaks all anatomy rules xD
