Description No, that is not a brush in her hand. Why would someone in a picture titled, "sacrifice," be holding a brush over a glowing hole?

What's being sacrificed? Not telling, but I will say that there is, in the picture, enough evidence to say that it's probably not a squirrel or a bird.

Can't see it?

Keep looking.

It's subtle.

Incidentally: No, I don't know why I drew this. It just wanted to be this way.

Oh, and this picture was mentioned in Sesquipedalian 23 . Last panel.

This is very well done.

I tried to figure out what is being sacrificed by referencing the symbols in the book, but no luck there as I can't make out the details... and the shadows on the tree from the light of the pit don't seem to make any shape I can recognize. Also, I agree with k-42, there's totally a creepy shadowy hand above her left foot if you zoom in. Anyways, while it'll bug me that I can't seem to figure it out, I do really like this piece. Especially the lighting effect.

A hand hm?
Does it look like a hand attached to a conscious person?
Does it look like it's trying to get her, or is it doing (or not) something else?
The working title for this thing was, "sinister," so it's not gonna be something nice.
I'd wonted to put something in the shadows, but I'd have had to sacrifice (no pun intended) realism to achieve it.
I admit I'm rather happy with the lighting myself thank you. If only I hadn't lost the original...

Her hand? No, both of those are visibly attached. Unless that's a third foot behind her left one (lol, she'd never be able to dance with those two left feet).
