How on earth did you do that?
Did you start from a totally blank canvas or did you have something like a photo underneath and build up layers (similar to tracing) of your own style of art. This is something I'd like to try at sometime but I would take 2 years on the background and it still wouldn't look as good as your.

I started the same way you'd start a traditional painting, with a sketch (based from looking at a photo of the actor) and then painting it in my own style.
only difference is that I work on a tablet with digital colors and I did use a texture for the background to get that rough paper effect.

So on a tablet what art program do you use.
I have pop x7 on the desktop. Just got it so not had chance to do much as yet.
