Thanks, most people don't notice the novelty of the design went into mecha musume. What's the difference? There are usually 3 classes: realistic reference, fictional reference, and no reference. Realistic reference is when mecha musume's design was addressing vehicles of real world, like fighter planes, and battle ships. Fictional reference is like Gundam girl or other vechiles from scifi. And no reference is just an mechanized outfit. Also please be aware that this is not intended to be an power armor type of thing. The human figure is not biological nor a robot, it is purely artistic.
Many already pointed out something regarding the hand, and many are having conflicting opinions on that matter, my principle is as long as it looks good. Buy the way which hand are you talking about? Is the hand that holds or the hand that extended out? This was based on my first attempt to draw an anime figure, it had many editions alone the way, sooner or later Im going to draw another one of the same character.

Thanks for explaining me, I was lost there, now I get it . And yes I understand this is purely artistic representation like its nothing else one could imagine but anyway looks great .
I was talking about the free hand, in my eyes something seems off with that, but Im really lacking skills around the hands so I cant confirm it, maybe its longer than it should be or maybe the finger (pnkie) seems to be off place somehow, I cant clarify totally, I mean I was only seeeing it in big detail and spotted that, when I notice these things in my drawing most of the times I fail at fixing but I know I made it wrong somewhere, you know the feeling, well anyway I hope you make more of the same character or similar style

That is how it officially thought out, but that doesn't mean you cant address the psychical nature of the figure in a fictional matter, for example the anime Infinite Startos (check it out if you are interested) made up a chessy sifi plot around the mecha musume concept. There is also a shmup called Trigger Heart.Β Mecha musume is mainly an "otaku thing", mostly for people already into mecha and scifi related anime.
Oh it does seems longer than it should, that was failed attempt to make some fore shortening perspective thing, I was going to make theΒ fingersΒ sticks outΒ towardΒ the screen but the out come wasΒ totallyΒ off. May be I can fix that in my next attempt. I have several similar characters made, but none of themΒ exceedΒ the complexity of this one. I plan to draw thisΒ characterΒ again in the near future but don't know exactly when.

I made her in 2010, there where 6 edits I have done sense then, she was my first serious attempt at drawing anime. I plan to draw her again this or next year? But what do you mean by horror show?
