Description
One of the Protagonistic characters if WoN. The Civ scientist (and medic) of Rüberune who hails from the southern island known as "the Haven." He specializes in herbal medicine, arcane prosthetics, and surgery. Although said surgery may not always be the highest of quality, generally speaking the mistakes have yet to prove to be fatal -- or nothing he can't fix. Although this could be proven false sometime into the future.
He has access to water and nature Arcana, but due to his biology has to gauge how much he is consuming when doing any sort of magic during medical treatments. He had to replace both of his arms with prosthetics after a lab accident that also resulted in a wall of his old home collapsing, fortunately not on top of him. He carries around a large Bag filled with just about everything he needs for treating the rest of his guildmates on the field, along with rations and extra arcana crystals to use in his hastily-crafted (cane-shaped) "magicannon." He always seems to have a pipe on him, and is fluent in both Common and Verdach.
Vince stands at roughly 5'5".

Vincent joined the guild when he heard there was an opening for an appointed Apothecary. While at first Caeir was excited at the chance of finally having a cheaper alternative then buying healing potions using their monthly budget, the Civ's personality quickly seemed to be a problem of sorts.
He claims to have a long past of experimenting on himself to achieve immortality, but eventually gave up on the idea as it seemed to reach nothing but dead ends no matter how he approached it. Despite his species' long (but not infinite) lifespan, he fears he still won't be able to perfect his talent in medicine.
He owns a former market-cart that is driven by his Armalgos, Phalena. The cart has been repurposed to act as a mobile medical tent.

Vincent is fairly relaxed, and far less chaotic then some of his other guildmates. However, many of his actions are based almost entirely on self-interest. He is known to be incredibly straight-forward (almost to a farther extant than Kava) and he is more than okay with messing up a procedure if it means he might get to learn something from it. This indifference in mistakes frequently results in a... less than pleasureable experience from his patients. That is not to say he has a disregard for others, as he is rather passionate about the wellbeing of many of his allies, but tends to avoid vocalizing some of these concerns. He takes great care of his possessions and steed.

Vincent is on good, if not at least speaking terms withmost of Rüberune. Scarlet seems to be alright around him, and Kaitlyn seems to be frightened of him ever since he began teaching her more about treating patients. He spends time hanging around West from time-to-time, and likes to meddle with Estreus.
He seems to worry about Kava more than he does about most of his guildmates.

The Civ
“Driven by an intense urge to improve themselves to perfectio, The ancient engineers of advanced machinery, rivals of the dwarves from myth.”

The Civ are a somewhat rare race. They look almost identical to humans, save for their more square-like ears and often greyish-hair. Civ have moderate skill with magic, but are completely immune to enchantments and curses. This acts as a double-edged-blade. As they cannot receive the “Adventurer's Enchantment” from the archguild, and they cannot gain buffs from party members. Over usage of arcana, or simply heavy usage over time, leads to scarring across civ’s bodies. This scarring generally appears along the arms, faces, and chests of Civs in long, jagged marks.
The scarring may be related to their more primitive biology compared to other races on Arcov, as they are far closer related to their ancestors (the Sigur) than Humans or Crystallines.

Their culture is rather secretive, as they have been fighting to preserve it. One main known fact is that they worship the idea of pushing the body to its limits, surpassing what they were given upon birth. Once every five to ten years in a Civ’s life, they are required to make a pilgrimage to “the Haven”, which is where it is believed they first lived before spreading out more. This idealism can be traced back to the people of Sigur and a few of the gods.
They are renowned for their extensive knowledge regarding arcana and its uses, and are responsible for the development of prosthetics, magicannons, and other technological advancements that integrate arcana.Unfortunately, to afford most of their creations one would have to have a massive surplus of wealth, or be very closely acquainted with the civ who is selling it.

Due to their belief Enhancing the bodies of others and themselves. Some more extremist Civ, take this to morally questionable extremes. More typically for better daily usage than for combat, some (very mentally questionable) Civ have been known to replace their limbs with other (nonliving) humanoid creature’s Limbs due to functions that cannot be replicated with arcane limb crafting.
The reasoning behind this being: “Why wear armor when you can replace your skin with armor?” or “Gee, carrying all of these materials to my workshop is super easy with these DEFINITELY NOT STOLEN Ogre limbs i’ve attached to myself.”

Civ are somewhat scarce because they cannot produce a long-living offspring with non-civ species, which became a serious problem after a massive self-inflicted genocide they faced long ago due to a religiously charged civil war.
