Description Ixion"28978 Ixion is the second largest known Plutino. It was discovered in 2001 by the Deep Ecliptic Survey. It was named after the Greek mythological figure Ixion. My symbol is based on the symbol for Ixion created by astrologer Sandy Turnbull , but uses the Greek letters Iota and Xi (Ι and Ξ) instead of the Roman letters I and X, since Ixion is a Greek figure. It has some similarity to the wheel Ixion was said to be bound to in Hades. Zane Stein also has a very good Ixion symbol, at the same link as above."

Did some research. Ixion can't keep it in his pants. Zeus brings this king up to Olympus for a little talk, and then Ixion tries to seduce Zeus' wife, Hera. Zeus see this and plays a trick on him. He makes a cloud in the shape of Hera, Ixion seduces and sleeps with the cloud and fathers all Centaurs apart from Chiron. (Dude fucks a cloud and out comes centaurs? Yeah I know, it's mythology.) So not only does he embarass Ixion, Zeus also banishes him to Hades where Ixion is strapped to a wheel to be annoyed for all eternity. That's the short version of the story.

I love using a big central symbol for my flags, so bam, It's sitting there in the middle. The colors I used came from my Pluto flags because that's where Ixion is being tortured on the wheel. I kept an outline of Hera on the left, and the Sagittarius symbol for all his progeny on the right. I added those two symbols as part of the story and I thought the space looked a bit empty. I know many Vexilologists would poo-poo that.

In time yes. I have the symbol for it. Do you have any thematic suggestions?

Make it similar to Pluto's flag, because Orvus is usually called the "Anti-Pluto".

Plus, it's my favorite planet!
