Description
For my Communications Design class I was assigned to find a social or political problem that I felt needed to be addressed, and to create/communicate this problem through any medium of my choosing.I decided to concentrate on the controversial activities currently happening in Iraq. I chose this βwar on terrorβ escapade, which is viewed by many, to be a cover up on obtaining control over the prime oil reserves in the world, and to show that blood has been spilt on obtaining it. The hunger for oil has grown to a ridicules state and thousands are dying: choose peace, not blood.

This picture makes a good point. But I have to make a few of my own.
I know that we need to use alternative fuel sources. That's why we're working towards them. But people aren't going to stop using oil. It's modern life. Driving, electricity, and basically a majority of our society is based upon the energy derived from oil. That's not gonna change until we start distributing fuel sources such as corn, propane, and grease. These things take time. And as for what !illusions667 said: It's true that corporations are profiting from the oil business. But many people have a misguided image of two guys in suits, smoking cigars, laughing at everyone. Now I'm not saying that's what you are trying to portray. I'm just saying that these companies are HUGE. Huge as in thousands of hardworking people to pay, and many things to support. So all the money's not just going into one person's pocket.
But, as for my thoughts on the war:
It's stupid. I don't understand why we have to fight and kill so many people for oil. The entire concept is rediculous. But I don't believe that the war is entirely based on oil.
Well, most of my comment was off subject to the picture. Oh well. :]
So anyway, I'm not disagreeing with you. I just think that both sides of this conflict have valid points.
And that's my three cents.

I just remembered. The war has nothing to do with oil. If that was the case, we would have taken over all of it in '01 and gas would be $1.00 a gallon. Hmm. So what was it about?...Something about millions of people killed as a result of a corrupt dictatorship..
