I know! I never got to study it, so I'm learning it the hard way, in bits and pieces. Luckily almost everything here is bilingual or trilingual so Americans can pick up phrases in French and Spanish OK if we try. I learned the phrase from a McDonald's cup, of all things. The slogan here is "I'm lovin' it." and they have it written in all these different langauges on the cup, or used to.

Finnish and swedish? Well done you! Those are a lot harder than Spanish. English is more or less Germanic in origin with French infuluences so word placement and everything is wrong compared to any other language. I don't know that I'll ever learn two words in Spanish, but I'm trying.

Keep in mind I studied French for six years and can't hail a cab, lol!

Indeed! We have same McDonald's cups here and it's always fun to read other phrases from it. Buuuut yeah, it's really pain in the ass, my mother language is finnish and i have so much problems with using english because it's nothing like our language But, maybe some day i'll get better at it

You are perfect at it. I can't even say hi in finnish. Here if you aren't part of a community that speaks a language you loose it. In theory I should speak passable Japanese, but I can't do that either, I just can't grasp the mechanics of language for one thing. My French teacher used to say I sounded like I just got off the boat and hit my head, lol!
