The face ....
in the original cartoon , they made her face as if it was on a flat surface , and not in a sphere .

Good choice of reference. Her proportions are a little less cartoonish in the first season.

I going to have to find my discs of 3Ds MAX. I use to be a pro.
I stoped fooling with it because i took for ever to render any thing on a Pentium3. But this 3d jenny you have bin working on gives me renewed interest. And yes i upgraded my computer like 20 times since then.

Are you taking any classes in Maya or are you basically teaching yourself right now?

btw about her skins
are you gonna use her normal cyan color or her blazing fire paint job color?

Yes , I will color her , but that will be one of the last details .
Fisrt I have to finish the modeling , and them adding animation controls .

I'm keeping a close eye on this one. Looks like you're staying relatively close to the original style, but with some more mechanically correct touch's. Real nice so far! Still saving up for a decent Mac and a copy of Maya myself!

I will keep you informed.

Excellant, I'm still struggling to catch up on my last 2. Beatrix copies are nearly painted, then on to Amy's mold.

Oh. Im still just learning how to control those light thingies (in fact, i had my first lesson on that last saturday), is it easy to use? and more importantly, is it one of the free plugins?
which program you're using, by the way?

glu-glu In reply to 14-bis [2008-11-12 03:04:01 +0000 UTC]
Oh i know, for one i can't model in maya for my life, while 3d studio max is an angel to me. Still all the talent is 100% you.
I was asking just in case it was one of those things that only one program has, i'll look into the options of 3dsmax for it.
π: 0 β©: 1
14-bis In reply to glu-glu [2008-11-12 03:11:37 +0000 UTC]
If you are using Max , you should render in Mental ray or in V-ray .
In both cases you will find the final gather option .
It creates a boincing light thru the camera .
In my jenny scne , there is just one light , but , you can see how the bright from the ground iluminates her shadow areas.

Sweet, then i shalll check the Mental ray options, oddly enough, i don't have v-ray. I also shall look for it. Thanks for the info.
