Description The Black Death episode of The History of Britain inspired this. A flea on the back of a Rattus rattus bearing the Yersinia pestis. My parents liked this one!

Rats are cute, as long as they don't eat my food. A few days ago, I saw little bite marks on both my Girl Scout cookies and Cadbury Eggs. >_< But, my Dad caught the culprit. It was just a mouse.

Our pet rats used to nibble on our food sometimes, but we let them and they were very clean. Wild rodents, I'm with you 100%

They also didn't spare the feline nor canine population in those dread filled days, but whom gets the blame the most for the Black Death?

The rats... my poor beloved black and brown rats..

Is it me, or does that rat look a bit like a feral Roxie?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

13foxywolf666 In reply to NBbowler [2012-03-04 12:51:45 +0000 UTC]

It's the same species as her, but not her specifically. Roxie would blow a fuse if a flea dared to get within ten feet of her.

I remember looking at both the Black Death and the Great Plague at school...we did a project on the latter one, it was really cool!

That's awesome! When taking my GCSE (end of school in UK) exams, we looked back over it, as one of our main topics was Medicine through Time.

Even if they're the biggest, most indestructible deathbringers. the picture is pretty funny. I can tell you love rats, you drew it rather cute.

If this was a tapestry or something from the plague years, you could probably expect to see that somewhere.
