Description The title suggests that the squirrel's run out of arrows and she's going to get slain. Yet that's not the case, rather it's what she's thinking. So the future's unclear for her even to me. Should I kill her off? I shouldn't even ask that, many will say to let her live.

Anyhow, like the Sea Otter Race, this is a piece for my French project that I won't go into detail with.

And if she looks like Lady Amber, that's because I intended to sketch her but changed my mind. I kind of rushed through this so there's probably some things I overlooked.

Hope you like it.

I wish I can at least see a thousand more Redwall drawings that are this good. And not just from you but other artists.

Oooooh, a couple changes and this is my OC, Lin (a black squirrelmaid). And I'm an archer, so I naturally love this pic. XD

Oh dear... hope she makes that shot tell...

==Alternative Outcome==
*she fires off the last arrow, taking out a leading runner - out of arrows, she unstrings the bow to use it as a staff... however, as the front-runners draw close, suddenly - a flash of blue zips by her from behind and she finds herself unexpectedly assisted by a blue-kilted hare, wielding a long sabre and kicking out with long legs! He fights like the proverbial "loony"!*
Danbuster: *looks at her while fighting* Make for the trees, missus! I'll just distract 'em a little for you!
*he turns back to the horde, head-butting the nearest rat into a concussion with his thick skull, and darts about, taunting them to draw them away*

That sounds good!

She'd probably run for the trees and wait. And if said hare doesn't retreat anytime soon, she'd come out and drag him out of the battle by the ears if she had to.

You know, I didn't even give her a name yet.

Heh, thanks!

*After a while, the horde seems to have be thrown into confusion. Going by their arguing, they lost sight of Danbuster and are now trying to look for him. They disappear into the forest. The squirrel comes down to try and find the hare - but all she finds nearby is the blue sporran he was wearing on the front of his kilt. Suddenly, the flap opens and Danbuster pops his head out and grins*
Danbuster: That shook 'em off! *climbs out and puts it back on, also stowing his sabre inside it* Nothing like a little cartoon-physics!

What's FC!!??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AntonioGuitarmouse In reply to 1-Renaissance [2010-03-13 19:03:56 +0000 UTC]

I know right? What is FC, is it a compliment or insult. Nah, this wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. I cant try to torture you, I dont know you enough to do that.

Anyway, FC means Fussion Cannon. Its a thing me and your sis made up. When she first posted her journal I said there should be a word that means awesomer than awesome. So I said Optimus Prime but she said no, so than I said Fussion Cannon and she said yes. So she shortened it down to FC. Yup, I planed to make you go crazy trying to figure out what that word meant, but I lost interest real quickly in doing so, so, yup, there you go.

So all this time I've been saying your drawings are real awesome. Thats it

ooohhh. For a moment I was going crazy. I was thinking FC could have stood for "freaking catastrophe" or a compliment.....

, well at least it kinda worked, but sorry for doing it in the first place . I dont know what got into me. I would usually do this kind of thing with people I know very well because they would know Im joking, not that you didnt, and I dont even know if it did offend you in anyway, but I just want to say sorry.

Just because I try to be nice and a gentlemen as I told your sis.

I think she looks different enough from Amber.

But its a lovely sketch, wonderful!

And I can't decide whether to kill her off yet or not because I don't know anything about her... but then again, I suppose that's reason enough to let her live, so I can get to know her. And if I don't like her, well... Heh, yeah, I'm evil like that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

1-Renaissance In reply to Kelaiah [2010-03-11 05:17:44 +0000 UTC]

Thanks.

About killing her off. She's the strong silent type, intellectual, wise, and among the tallest in her clan. Not a main character but a highly valued as a strategist. I'll think about it. No sacrifice, no victory, right?

Kelaiah In reply to 1-Renaissance [2010-03-11 05:37:07 +0000 UTC]

Your welcome.

Hm, then I'd say keep her alive then for now; just wait for her to develop and see if her death proves necessary or not.

1-Renaissance In reply to Kelaiah [2010-03-11 05:55:06 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, then I'll keep her fate on hold for now and see how events play out. Gosh, that makes me feel so evil. Here I have life and death in my hands and deciding her fate.

Maybe somewhere else it isn't just that, but actually real. Who knows? Ever imagine that when writing?

Kelaiah In reply to 1-Renaissance [2010-03-12 04:14:38 +0000 UTC]

That's a scary thought... But y'know, similar things like that have happened to me before: I've written about certain characters, only to meet actual people who remind me of those characters. Kinda spooky.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

1-Renaissance In reply to Kelaiah [2010-03-13 18:32:52 +0000 UTC]

In that case, don't let that character, who you said reminded you of me, live to be very old. I'd hate that.

Kelaiah In reply to 1-Renaissance [2010-03-14 01:23:14 +0000 UTC]

Well I haven't planned on anything *that* far into my character's futures yet, so we'll see.

Nothing big. We just have to pick several sports and describe them in French and add some illustrations. I'm in French 2 so it's not hard at all.

By the way, thanks!
