Description EDIT (12-20-15): There is now a speedpaint!
EDIT (12-26-15): Shading!

I have yet again fallen into Skeleton Hell, and it is glorious.

So, anyone who's been following me on tumblr knows that I recently discovered this incredible game called Undertale. There's not a whole lot on my main blog, mostly to keep things from getting cluttered, but my Mystery Skulls sideblog has been saddled with a rather rowdy roommate and there's more skeletons and monsters roaming around than I can shake a stick at.
On top of that, there's this wondrous thing rolling through the Undertale fandom where people have been taking the speech sounds of various characters and using them to replace spoken words in Vocaloid type songs (look up utatutale if you're interested), the first and most well composed of these being the skeleton brothers, Sans and Papyrus, singing Drop Pop Candy.

I got a bit addicted and more than a little inspired, which resulted in the artwork you see before you.
I may come back to tweak it a bit later, I didn't really bother too much with shading or highlights, but it was really fun designing their outfits and headphones, and I'm more than likely going to be drawing more of these two for funsies at a later date.

For now, though, here's Sans and Papyrus in full J-Pop/Vocaloid gear, singing their little hearts out.

Thank you!
It was nice to take a short break from work and do something fun, I haven't really had much motivation or inspiration in the last few months. They aren't kidding when they say that retail is a soul sucker.

The moment I take on a bunch of projects is the moment I lose the will to draw. So I know how you feel.

Yeah...
I've been slowly working my way through the pile, I've been trying to go from oldest to latest, but I keep getting new ideas and they flow so much easier I get side tracked and-
Yeah...

Managed to get a whole bunch of stuff inked and scanned, though, so I'm excited about that.
I've got the next couple days off from work, and if things work out, I'm going to art it up like CRAZY.

-tries to sneak a peek-
I myself just got a Cintiq, and using it has been a dream. Definitely a lot better than a normal tablet. It feels a lot smoother and after two drawings my hand doesn't hurt! AAAAA IT'S SO PERFECT.

I've been looking into at least getting a Cintiq equivalent, the actual ones are way out of my current price range and I don't really need a large one. Too big and I can't really see myself using it for more than a very expensive desk bauble.

So far mine has been constantly used as a drawing tool, not an expensive desk bauble. XD
But yeah, if you don't see yourself with a big tablet you should get a small one. I function better with a larger space to work with so I got a bigger one.

I tend to move around a travel a lot, it's why I have a slightly oversized and beefed up laptop rather than a desktop system. It's a lot easier to cart around an 8-10 pound laptop plus a notebook sized graphics tablet to a coffee shop or cafe.
I wish they had Cintiq style tablets that functioned as their own separate tool, like an internet tablet whose primary function was to be used for art and had the touch capabilities and sensitivity to met the art need. Like, fully capable of using full power programs like PhotoShop and PaintTool Sai, maybe with minor internet capabilities or maybe instead used as an electronic sketchbook you can transfer images from via USB.
I know I'd use the FUCK out of something like that.
