I'm a little, well, disturbed by what you are saying. The way you make it sound, is like Carol/Melissa McBride is not an attractive woman. If you think that only young women with long blonde/brown hair are 'pretty' or 'cute' then I feel you should really look over those thoughts, because that is not good to think. Melissa McBride is a very beautiful woman, and Carol is strong, and beautiful. Daryl does not have to be paired with some young thing, because honestly that would destroy his character more than the writers already have. If he were to have a relationship, the only one I'd see fitting his character would be Carol. The two of them have shared a bond pretty much since the beginning.
But the shipping part is not my main point. My main point, is that you shouldn't find that she is not pretty. She is a very beautiful woman indeed. Just because her hair is short, and silver, does not state otherwise.

No no! I never ment that! I absolutely love carol! It's just to my knowledge she's a lot older then daryl and I personally though him and Beth WOULDVE been cute but sadly Beth is now deceased and even though I still hold that ship in my heart I support any other ships that may fall for daryl ^.^
I did not mean to offend anyone
Nor was I saying carol wasn't beautfiul

In actuality, Carol is perhaps 3 years older, tops. She is not anywhere near years and years older. And that kind of bothers me, that people believe that. Just because of the fact she had grey hair? Thats the main reason. Melissa and Norman are very close in age, as are the characters. And to me, The Beth and Daryl was more of a brother sister relationship. He cared and respected her, yes. But that would've been completely out of his character had they gotten together. Daryl is a private man, very private. It takes years to get into that emotional connection. And for just two days they would be in love? That's not in Daryl's character. He's not that kind of a man.

Hmm I never considered that I always heard carol was in her early forties and daryl even in his late twenties to early thirties

Oh, goodness no. Norman Reedus cannot by any means pass for younger than 35 in my opinion. But he is at least 40 in the show. Merle was 50 or so, and they were roughly ten years apart. Carol is just a small bit older than him. Perhaps 2-3 years.
I just don't see how it could be something, considering Beth is young enough to be his daughter. I just don't find it appropriate, that's all.

Daryl has always struck me as being much younger than "at least 40". I'll freely admit that I'm hardly the best judge of age, but in Season 1, if I'd had to guess, I would have thought he was only a few years older than Glenn. Late 20s to early 30s sounds about right to me. With Merle being, yeah, late 40s or maybe 50. But I had the impression that there was a bigger age gap between Merle and Daryl than there was between Andrea and Amy (which was stated in Wildfire to have been 12 years).
Personally, I love Daryl's and Carol's relationship the way it is. I kind of feel that injecting overt romance would almost cheapen the bond they have, if that makes any sense.

Yes. That relationship was more of a brother/sister type. He gave her hope. When he looked at her, it wasn't "I love you" it was "You gave me hope again" and that's different. Besides, you have to admit it is far out of his character to fall in love with someone in two days.
