i think i needs seven years for me to draw 'save' with ink... but i have much to learn too! in the first time i have taken 'living' models, but now i take some photos, choose the best one and draw it, cos the most of the models don't have the time to sitting here 2 hours for a sketch or 7-10 hours for a drawing... so i take a photo.
this photo is from a good friend 'gerd lehmann' from the "GESTUS" series taken on the WGT ( [link] )... and yes she is real piereced.

Look at that intricate shading. How many years did it take you to get that wonderful? Did you do this from a photograph or do you use live models? She's beautiful by the way. And you've enhanced that unto the viewer. *wiggling eyebrows Can't believe she piereced those purty lips of hers though.

...sometimes i take also some graphit-free pens or chalk, but i try to use ink for all, cos ink is stable against light and contact and also ink has not the reflections of graphite - i use them with brushes or with quills - for more i have some journals:
