thank you, I believe it was the mutilated MLP that I faved! I am however surprised that you prefer this to music (or that's the hint I got).

CakeUpStudio In reply to zombifiedgrass [2014-07-18 09:46:41 +0000 UTC]
yes it was. and I don't know what you mean, if you reffer to MLP than I strongly dislike it, that's why poor bastard was all sliced and bloody
or do you mean I'm a musician but I prefere making cakes?

I presumed that you prefer making cakes to your music career/education. I'm sorry about the comment, I think it was quite rude.
I also hate MLP, that's why I loved the cake so much!Β

it's ok. I prefere people who are not afraid to have an opinion
the thing with music is that as a classical musician with quite a few years of experience I'm a bit sick of both the industry where it doesn't matter how you play but who you know as well as dead-traditional approach to the music itself. I had countles discusions with both teachers and later conductors that looked pretty much like this :'why should I play this way?' -'because that's how it's supposed to be' -'but in scores it doesn't say anything like this' -'but that's how people played this piece for the last 300 years so who are you change it now'
with cakes on the other hand I learn by experimenting (although I wish I had some kind of real culinary education) and I'm free to create whatever idea, sick or funny I find in my head. like killing a rainbow unicorn. and changes and new ideas are not only considered creative but also welcomed.
where I live classical music is slowly killed by stagnation and budget cuts while cakes are land of possibilities that grows with each person who enjoyed a piece of creative deliciousness. maybe it's because music was kind of forced on me while cakes I chose for fun of finding the limmits of 'impossible'. I'm still doing a bit of both as a freelancer and I believe both have their place in modern culture. I just prefere to be in the place with higher chances of leftover chocolate encounter

ahh, everyone has their goals and yours sounds like a very sweet one!Β
I'm very fond of music, and i hope to compose it myself, It's a shame people can be so fickle in nature and so stubborn over such a creative form of art. I hope your career as the best cake designer in Portugal prevails.Β

CakeUpStudio In reply to zombifiedgrass [2014-07-19 09:45:43 +0000 UTC]
hehe, thanks!
I guess for composers it's totally different story since they are expected to be original while we performers must be 'correct' :faint;
I wouldn't be able to live without music, in fact when I have difficult cake to make I always listen to something - it helps me concentrate. just my teachers would faint if they knew my band preferrences
wish you the best of luck in music industry, if you really believe in your music you might succeed!

I would think differently. You have more steam trains pulling trains on the main line than here in the USA

well we have less variety, there's only a few lines that actually have steam engines. the rest are just Β plain old electric ones like the 323 and maybe the 390 if go by virgin.

I can at least say that the format of the National Railway Museum in York is better than our National Railroad Museum in Green Bay.
