It really is a conspiracy how our world has changed within a few hundred years, huh? Books and literature used to be so important and scarce in the 1800's that they were worshiped just as much as idols of religion. Now, literature is ubiquitous: but very underappreciative.
I feel it's very important to venerate literature and writing as we did those many years ago. To have people like you and I still pursuing in the academics of such a lost religion (excuse the metaphor if needed, I'm quite careless in these things) seems all the more important.
Personally, you shouldn't thank me for adoring your masterpiece on how you view our end, but the fact that we can still have these ideas; that we can still use the creative gears in our mind, albeit the fact that we have so many things corrupting them.
Oh, and I hope the same.

I agree with you in that books and literature have changed from being very special and sacrosant in the past to a flood nowadays. It's unfortunate that so many do not avail themselves of the tremendous education that is available. Personally, I am just grateful for the freedom that I have to think as I wish as I encounter my share of the information that is offered.

Imagine waking up in the morning and deciding to do something unusual that will Benefit the World while Being Fun. For example, you put on a fiendishly exquisite costume that represents Social Consciousness and Support of the Color Purple. Or Something. Now imagine this day turning out to be entirely normal and not unusual at all. Until someone suddenly, randomly stops by and says "Hey! That is some costume! You must really be into Social Consciousness! Or something!"
And then that just makes your day because one person noticed.
