Yeah. The journal was pretty clear. I was kinda surprised about the part with "17th century" where they had tried to invent some new tunes without making it sound the same/similar/whatever.

Hmm, well, that was the time when the very art of music was still developing into a lot of uncovered ground. There was no such thing as "pop" yet. Hence, there was still a lot of expansion possible, new genres, sounds, and noise to experiment into.
Plus, also think about how geography comes into play - Eastern (Asia and such) and Western music being very distinct. With the advent of mass communications and yes, the Internet however, things have been more mixed as of late, closing much of the distinctions prized in the past.

I watched Ga-Rei Zero. The first anime to be all bloody, sad, moe, scary and happy all merged in one lol. For me anyway. The first episode, I was like 'WTF...????'

Oh, Ga-Rei Zero? I watched that too! Damn - I suppose it's got a bit of everything, it was one of those, I felt, genre-bending shows. The narrative was mostly seinen/shonen-ish though, but it was a good combo, I'd say. There's many others out there right now like that. The To Aru No Majutsu Index series is a similar take, if you've seen it.
Hell's March was the Red Alert 1 theme song, dude! How could you NOT remember?! Then, this guy named Frank Klepacki composed it - along with much of the in-game music. He did the same for a lot of the C&C titles before Generals/EA-takeover.
Yeah-eh. Two rocket upgrades, one for damage and then for firing capacity - then just let them fly! It looks good too, it's like a race-derby scene with armed vehicles.

Ga-Rei Zero to me is like, kind mature to be Shounen? xD If it is anyway. Because it reeks of err, idk how to say, 'genre-bending' as you said it I guess. It's eerie and mysterious and adorable and violent and sad and happy and yea, a bit of everything. To Aru No Majutsu? Neva heard of it

Well, that's alright, man. Going back here at dA is one thing, but not coming in empty handed (not much real art but stupid journal ramblings) is a tougher thing.
The premise is kind for Ga-Rei zero is kind of a combination of many many things. I don't even know what to majorly call it. The story probably plays out as shounen in its initial presentation, but the visuals teeter into a kind of seinen style. Even if Ga-Rei wasn't pure slice of life, it was still, some fun to go through.
Ah, dammit, I know how that feels. I still have this really nice rock song I've heard in the radio when I was a kid. I really loved it, but never got to figure out, hear, nor remember who the artist, nor the title of the song! I only roughly remember some of the lyrics, something about going into the bermuda triangle where the sun is always shining, somehow.
hahaha~ in terms of firepower, yes, you could say that. spam enough of the fuckers then yes, it's almost like they run over overlords anytime. hmm, I loved how the RA2 Mirage makes infantry burn. funny how it's supposedly just a gun, right? Anyways, the later game to come out, post Westwood studios RA3 had the Mirage Tank return. Only now, with a Prism gun system. So think stealthy prism tower-ish.
