I actually use Paint Tools SAI when i draw, it's a program that is nothing but drawing tools, you cant do a lot of things that gimp or photoshop does, but the point is to be able to paint or draw or whatever you want. It's a reaaaally smooth program. especially if you start from a large canvas and then shrink the resolution. uwu

It sounds like a good program. Gimp isn't exactly smooth but I'm also limited in my knowledge of how to use certain features in it. Also I can't go above a certain amount of pixels. Somewhere around like 4000x3000..... the program says its too large to save the file or something. And its not my computer (I just got a new one actually) but the program itself. I haven't tried it in a while but I intend to just to see ya know? Thanks muchly Rainbows!

yooou're very very welcome!!! sai will go much bigger- up to a 10,000x10,000 piece of art (but they dont every expect you to want it that big i dunno.) you can give gimp another try but i got rid of it as soon as i got myself SAI because its sooo smooth. i feel like you'll like it a lot more.

To create an image 6000x4500 pixels it says:

You are trying to create an image with a size of 251.6 MB.

An image of the chosen size will use more memory than what is configured as "Maximum Image Size" in the Preferences dialog (currently 134.2 MB).

I guess I would have to change my preferences then? And I trust what you say about SAI. I'll give it a go when I'm not in the middle of so many other projects.
