Yay
I was in the process of making a phantom photomanipulation inspired by a Susan Kay quote but it was extremely frustrating. Maybe I should try to finish!

Yes! If I have spare time enough, because I tend to be really meticulous in photoshop XD I'll try though, at some point!

By the way, it's based on this quote (probably): "I am not forsaken! I'm no longer alone in the darkness! Before my eyes I see a thousand little devils lighting black candles along the path which leads towards the edge... the blindingly beautiful edge."

Haha, no problem ^^ Your whole gallery is amazing and it was hard picking a fave so as not to spam you with messages. I love the monologue that goes with that one too <3
Though, shame on me, I'm just now finishing Leroux book o.O I read Kay's first accidentally, but I love them both.

I'm still not finished, but close. I like it a lot, but I think it got more vivid and exciting at/beyond the Apollo's Lyre chapter. ^^ I'm reading the Lowell Bair translation b/c it's the only one our local library had. I'm dying to have my own copy of both Kay's and Leroux's though XD

May I suggest to you the translation by Mireille Ribière. If you ever get a chance it was translated by someone who is French and who cared a great deal and stuck to the original translation. As far as Kay I think I might be able to help there. Click on the book for a surprise. [link]

Ah, that sounds awesome, I'll look into it I'm SO close to the end of this translation, and it's getting steadily better and better. I love the Gollum-esque and childish speech of Erik, it's so strangely endearing, lol, just like in the little dA cartoon Requiem Mask which I read beforehand. And about the Kay book, thank you so much! I had to return my much overdue copy to the library and yet I'm "trying" to make a few Sims 2 machinima clips that combine Kay/Leroux and attempting to be quite accurate.
