Heard you're a big fan of Kimagure Orange Road. Do you still like that series today? It was my childhood anime and I too am also in love with Madoka Ayukawa. She was my first anime crush and is the only anime character I actually have true feelings for. There isn't an anime girl that can compare to her in terms of realisticness.

OMG....It's amazing how an anime character like Madoka Ayukawa has had such a profound impact on an entire generation of anime and manga fans! You feel like you're sucked into the stories, like you're part of this wonderful group of kids and just living with them day by day. It's hard to believe it's 30 years ago...a lifetime ago

I agree, I felt sucked it like I was in high school again lol. Except unlike Kasuga, I was popular with girls and had the looks back then lol, not kidding about that. That was back when KOR was popular. I was into the series back then. Soo much good memories. I wonder what Madoka would think of me back then if she was real. Β
Odd, I'm in love with a fictional character. Lol. Sadly, so much have changed in 3 decades in a bad way. I keep seeing people aging away and some died. Some people changed badly too. Also society is no longer as good as it used to be.Β
I had to support and fight for Maoism for a decade quite a while ago. Turns out it was a bad ideology. Β Learn too much about guns and weapons back then. I was brainwashed.Β
Sigh, sorry about the rambling, it's just that I miss the peaceful times of the 80s and enjoying KOR. No communism back then and no thinking of war, and no stupid propaganda and brainwashing. Also no swearing my life to Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong. I wish I could go back. If only Madoka was real.Β

Yeah, I don't even watch any anime made after 1995. Anime after that is just poorly animated and there's no substance like back in the 80s like you said. In fact I consider anime died after 1995 and no longer exist after that. I can't even watch anime post 95 in a second. They irritate me a lot. I also tend to associate 80s anime with peace, democracy, and freedom of expression. Post 95 anime, I associate with loss of freedom and rise of oppression. In fact I never watched anime after 95, since the placed I moved to discouraged it and banned many of it. Since it was considered "counter-revolutionary" and "capitalist".
About children today, I don't find the 21st century Western problems a big concern for me but it is still a problem. My major concern about children today is the their interest in bringing back Stalinist/Maoist style communism. Since I lived and served under communism before, I find this shocking. This is more a problem in the former communist countries, not in the West. I hope that dictatorship doesn't come back. Also, never take freedom for granted, it can be loss the next day, that's one big life lesson for me. If you're wondering, France, is my fake location not my real location. Also, if you want to know what life's like under communism ask me. I find many in the West curious about it.
Sorry, for all these political talks, my life experiences made me more critical about these things. I was raised in the West and moved to communist country. I learned many lessons there. I'm back in the West now.
Speaking of which, what does Madoka think of a good looking and tall 6'2 aka 190 cm, light brown hair, hazel eyes, skinny and somewhat muscular, Eurasian guy if she was real?
Oh, and If I do speak weirdly, tell me, since the way I talk is sometimes unwestern. Big cultural differences in ways of speaking.
