No, it's actually not the teaser trailer. It's the footage that the people saw in comic con. Ofcourse, we're not allowed to see it, but people described it for us.
(I just found out that trailer 2 will be revealed on August 7th!)

I can't wait! Ah!
(Spoilers for other people-footage)
Do you think that Loki really DID slice off Thor's hand. I doubt it...
I mean A, it's too gory for Marvel and B, they haven't actually seen him do it- the screen cut- and trailers always mix things up.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-25 08:26:36 +0000 UTC]

If he did, it was either to fool others, or save him, & then heal him later with his magic, or it might have been Malekith in Loki's disguise, & Loki could heal him again. Might be an illusion too. On the other 'hand', Thor never lost a and in all myth/fiction history, BUT his older actual brother Tyr, who's in the film too.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-25 09:28:02 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's Tyr who lost his hand from Fenrir. So, i don't think that's possible.
Also, I totally forgot that Malekith can do magic! Shiz, this movie is gonna be awesome! I wanna see a Loki vs. Malekith scene even if
Loki will be against Thor.
Thank you for conversing with me. Sorry if I'm bothering you!

You're not bothering me. Love chatting, exchange ideas.

So yeah, we'll see, Loki & Malekith might team at first, & make it look like he's betraying Thor, only to switch on The Dark Elf & save the day. Well, at least now we know Loki will survive Thor 2. Huzzah.

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-25 21:43:50 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I'm super happy about Loki's survival.
You know... Most of the cast and crew are making it *sound* like Loki won't redeem himself. You still believe that he might?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-26 05:51:28 +0000 UTC]

Maybe not in Thor 2. If Marvel ARE as clever as they seem to be now re Loki's unexpected success & that he's their golden goose at the moment, they could use him for few other films as the 'big bad' as they put it, or a Loki film in between, till Thor 3 maybe, where he WILL 'redeem' himself. Though technically as far as mythology goes, that however might inadvertently lead to the end - Ragnarok - & that's it for Loki & Co. They cannot ride that success forever. So I dunno, he might, & then go off course again, & then do something good again & bad & good & so on till the end. He's neither good not bad by nature anyway, just dancing on the faultline of causing havoc & then offering a deal no one can refuse to fix things again - play all side, for or against each other, for good or bad, if it means he will come out on top even though it might not appear that way & he's just biding his time for more mischief. That's his entire purpose.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-26 07:33:34 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I don't think Loki will redeem right away in Thor 2, either. "Not just yet" as Tom Hiddles quoted.
It'd be too early especially that if I was in Loki's shoes, no way in Hel would I be good too. Just as Tom said,
Loki's thrown in the deepest dungeons of Asgard, forgotten and uncared for. Why in the nine realms would
he help Thor when Thor abandoned him? It's like, Thor, if you wanted Loki to actually help you and actually be
good, then maybe you shouldn't've left him all these years, all alone, when you didn't "need" him. :/
Thor's being like one of those fake friends who only visit you when they need you, you know?
Ofcourse Loki's gonna teach him a lesson, lol. Maybe take advantage of him, because he knows that Thor
can't destroy the elves without his help. Go Loki! XD

And yeah, maybe loki's gonna redeem in Thor 3, or whatever the final Thor movie will be, but I don't think it'll be fully.
As you said, Loki was never a pure nice god, or a pure evil god. He always jumped between the lines of evil and friendly.

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-26 11:20:25 +0000 UTC]

Fully agree, to get anywhere, Thor has to make the first step for Loki to even consider trusting him again.

Lots of people seem to look at Thor’s behaviour in Thor or Avengers as 'loving', compassionate, & good when it comes to Loki. Thor insisted that he loved Loki, that it wasn’t too late, that Loki deserved to come home. All those things are great, though Prelude 2 seems to differ on that suddenly. But Thor loving Loki does not mean that he is capable of taking responsibility for his role in Loki’s pain. It does not even mean that he UNDERSTANDS that he even HAS a role in Loki’s pain. We have not seen that from Thor at all. In fact, we’ve seen Thor constanly invalidate Loki’s feelings: 'Your imagined slights'. He's dismissive of all what Loki says or does. He's arrogant & shallow. The issues in their relationship will not be resolved until Thor can take responsibility, apologise first, & work to amend what HE has done in neglecting & belittling Loki, & that Loki is justified in feeling hurt & that his feelings are not 'imaginary'. Thor is no 'hero', until he is capable of being responsible for his own actions. He is no hero until he is capable of understanding that he is not inherently good, he killed far more creatures than Loki ever attempted, he is not always good, & he is not always a hero. Same goes for Sif & The Warriors Three, Odin. So, why should Loki 'apologise' first to any of them, for what exactly, when he cannot know if he will be hurt again by any of them, or ab/used. Why should Loki expect Thor et al to behave any differently than he did before. He cannot, & as Tom said, he has nobody, & no friends. Bar Frigga who cannot help him.

Loki is chaos, he is everything & nothing at the same time.  He's neither evil, nor saintly. He has a pained past & messed-up relationships with everyone because of their belittling him, using him. Loki is unpredictable, & most certainly not totally crazy. He know exactly what he's doing, unless The Other or Thanos might mess with his mind, & if it's taken from his hands, he switches, manipulates & invents to make it work for him. No, Loki is good, bad, misunderstood, mad & sane at the same time. Loki, in the mythology & in Marvel, is such a strong & chaotic force that he became a kind of balance, a force of perpetual regeneration, destruction & renewal. Life & death. Nothing can work without or with him. Loki is Yin & Yang combined. One cannot exist without the other.

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-27 06:52:48 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I agree.
I mean, Thor looks mature in Thor 2, so I hope he ACTS mature too. He's definitely changed since Thor 1,
where he was really arrogant and ignorant, but he's still not perfect. As you said, he told Loki they were 'imagined slights'
and mocked him more. sadly though, in the new footage, people said that Loki told Thor, "Why have you come here? To mock me?"
it seems he never changed. :/

That whole life&death thing that you said seems really interesting. I know nothing about that stuff because I haven't read the comics. :/
The only thing I know is that Loki brought Ragnorak, but that's it. (other than killing balder, lips sewn, tied to rock, sigyn, fenrir, hela,...)

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-27 09:03:58 +0000 UTC]

Thor hasn't grown', & if we take Prelude 2 as a real prelude, he even regressed. It's more like that Loki outgrew Thor. And he didn't kill Balder, not by his own hands.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-27 13:29:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah Loki killed Balder by the mistletoe tree or something like that. The only thing that could kill Balder, because Frigga wanted to protect him. I don't remember the whole story, but you're right, he *indirectly* killed him.

I think Thor has matured a bit, because in Thor 1, all he wanted was fame and glory and war and he wasn't thinking about Asgard or any of that. In the Avengers, he wanted Loki back and he stopped thinking of war and started thinking of defense instead for Midgard. In Thor 3, it seems he's only thinking about protecting Asgard. He's not having *fun* during the war. Hence "if we do nothing, they will destroy us."

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-28 04:15:52 +0000 UTC]

Correct, that why we still have the mistletoe tradition, though turned it into the far less deadly kissing thing.

Thor has evolved, if he 'matured' is another story, since he still has to make amends to Loki re his behaviour that led to Loki turning against him in the first place. He might be 'wiser' now & think of Asgard first, but the brother issue is far from resolved & he has to make the first step, or is not worthy of becoming 'king' later or called a 'hero' now.

Let's hope Prelude 2 is not a true look into his future behaviours, lying that Loki is to blame for everything & keep dismissing him, just like Odin turning into a racist shit with no compassion entirely disowning him, calling him Laufeyson purely to hurt him, when it was him who started all this drama by not telling Loki of his true heritage.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-28 04:22:40 +0000 UTC]

Agreed.

Thor still needs to think of his brother more so that he can help him redeem. I'm sad that Thor left him
for years in the cell instead of meeting him from time to time.

Yeah, I hope Odin doesn't turn Loki against Thor again, because I really don't believe Loki would try
to cut Thor's hand of, without something like that happening. If Odin behaves, I think it's Malekith
who fights Thor. Loki isn't stupid to betray Thor when him and Sif threatened to kill him. And he
won't die in the movie, so that gives us a hint.

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-28 04:39:24 +0000 UTC]

Maybe Odin prohibited it. If P2 is anything to go by, not even his own mother was allowed to see him, the only one who truly cares for him, how cruel is that. Or deliberate of course.

Loki can't be that easily killed anyway, & Sif's threats are as much as joke as Thor's - who might be less inclined than her. But then she never understood who Loki was & simply discards him now after Loki saved her butt no doubt more than once - like the rest, without a trial, no justice, no chance of explanation, no help - no sympathy, no mercy. That's not what 'heroes', kings or warriors do, let alone 'friends'. It will only turn Loki to hate them all even more, harden him indeed, make him more dangerous. They're all more than actively not only creating that 'monster', but nurturing his hatred by mistreating him worse now, to justify their ignorance in case he might strike at them again in more hat & hurt they sure as hell deserve. THEY created Loki 'the Jotun monster', not Loki, though he gladly obliges them now at no chance of anyone even listening to his side & too much pain. He's done with 'trying'.

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-28 07:45:19 +0000 UTC]

I agree.

Yeah... That would suck if Odin did this. If so, then Loki has every right to turn against them and hate them.

What does prelude 2 mean?

And yeah, Loki is really powerful; I don't think he ever tried to go his fullest power against them. If he did, he could kill Sif in an instant. (In Norse Myth, at least)

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-29 01:23:46 +0000 UTC]

P2 is the second comic they released for Thor 2, a 'preview' of what could be in the film. It explained how Thor knew where to find Loki etc., & what happened once Loki came back to Asgard, where Odin disowned him, called him 'Loki Laufeyson', just so hurt him, behaving like a racist shit & Thor blaming all that's happened on Loki.

And true, Loki has powers none of them possess, he could easily defeat any of them. In Avengers he of course didn't want to, or else he'd not been able to get back home, WITH The Tesseract, & The Avengers would never have been formed.

He might in fact. At the start it was rumoured HE will die not Frigga - technically he should so Thor can take over.

No problem. Unfortunate DA changed their comment box format (& did away with the add-emoticons option) & older comments cannot be accessed anymore beyond a hundred or so. I believe I answered your last comment some weeks back after our long exchanges, & now it's impossible to even open it to respond even in what they now call 'flat view' to expand them. They messed up on that one.

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-29 02:56:07 +0000 UTC]

Seriously!!?? That would be THE BEST thing ever if Odin died and Frigga didn't! I would die in happiness, lol. No, seriously, I think it'd be great because A, Thor needs do be king in the end, B ODIN'S messed up enough stuff for Loki and C, there would be a chance of repent for Loki if Frigga still lived and Odin didnt. She can get him back to the way he was, you know, like when she gave him the Throne in Thor. You really think its possible? because I'm dying here!

(I just read the prelude when he disowned Loki and its pissing me off! If Odin does die, I hope it's by Lokis hands. "And your death came by the son of Laufey," haha. "You disowned me, remember?"

Ohh that explains what happened with the messaging. :/ I don't remember what we were talking about, sorry.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-29 06:52:41 +0000 UTC]

Um, no they might BOTH die - Frigga is a given she will, maybe as incentive for Loki to go berserk & help Thor.

Odin might die in battle, but not by Loki's hands - or Malekith takes him out, no idea. They might have changed it from Odin to Frigga only later.

I cannot even look up on which piece we talked, no older comments will load. DA's new system is not allowing to open older or over-threaded comments. It's bloody ridiculous. I hope they will reverse it back to before. What's the point of DA if you cannot comment beyond a few posts & then can't even look at older ones.

verona111 In reply to AdmiralDeMoy [2013-07-29 11:55:55 +0000 UTC]

Oh okay... Well they DID say there are two (main) characters that'll die.
Frigga
Odin
Lol or Tyr.. But I don't think they'll kill him In the same movie he first appears. He'll seem too weak.

Yeah, that's pretty stupid. I hate it when websites like DA or Yahoo make 'updates' that make it worse.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AdmiralDeMoy In reply to verona111 [2013-07-30 01:17:01 +0000 UTC]

Tyr will not die here. No idea how they're gonna play this, but in the comics Tyr was resentful towards Thor when he replaced him as first-born, & Sif rejected Tyr's advances vying for Thor's attention over Jane. He even travelled to Earth to attack Thor & is defeated, which could be part of Thor 2. Later Tyr rebelled against Odin due to his favouritism of Thor, same problem Loki had, & therefore allies with Loki & unleashes the Midgard Serpent on Earth, Loki's son Jormungandr, but is undone when Loki double-crosses him. After that Tyr reconciled & fought for Asgard during Ragnarök, which might be unleashed in Thor 3 where everyone dies anyway. So yeah, he could first be on Loki's side - along with Malekith, to maybe to spring Loki from jail - & then switches sides again, like Loki no doubt will.

Wow, so Tyr was also jealous of Thor??? Poor Thor, got everyone against him when it's not his fault that Odin favored him. :/ lol, I thought Tyr was nice. Haha, but why did Loki betray Tyr? I thought they'd be perfect partners, you know, both jealous and all.
