# About me
~{HERE I AM AGAIN}~In a fog of daydreams, lost between reality and uncharted worlds, lives a girl who goes by the name of Forest. She spends her time capturing moments of beauty that others may miss, and giving life to the imaginary forces in her mind. She doesn't want to live in the city; it makes her feel trapped amid all the houses and people. She much prefers open spaces and forests.
Forest loves, more than most things, to write. She currently has nine people whispering in her ears, so named in order of appearance: Jared, Nicole, Lucy, Millicent, April, Cormac, Rose, Jason, and Chloe. They frequent her mind, as you will see.
Music is her life. If music is not playing, Forest is asleep or completely lost in a daydream. She finds it hard to focus without it.

Really? Wow, thank you. I try my best. Haha. But, no, really, thanks.
I glanced through your gallery. (Calling me cool has its perks. Hahaha.) I love the shot you took of the record player! Also the picture of the puddle. Those were my two favorites of your photography, hands down. I was going to read your poetry too, but, given the fact that I have the attention span of a squirrel who has been given a triple-shot latte, I got distracted. Hahaha. I'll get to it sometime!
...Wow. Energy. I should put it to use now. xD [/rambling]

It was 1AM where I am. I become half nocturnal during the summer. Haha. But, hey, didn't I send my reply about an hour after you sent the message? xD

Yeah, but you were worse with the nocturnal stuff.

True...But I was writing! In my book, that's a legit reason to stay up. My writing mind thinks better at night. I think that's the main reason I stay up so late these days.

There's something about the night that loosens your inhibitions, I think. I always find the words easier just before sleep. I always say what I've been feeling all day.

vamp-princess667 In reply to darkandmetric [2011-07-08 02:23:06 +0000 UTC]
Agreed. Pretty much all of the poetry in my gallery was written right before I went to sleep. I can write during the day, but it never quite compares to what I've written at night. I don't know if it's as apparent to others, but I can always tell.

Like, in your own poems, or in everyone's?

vamp-princess667 In reply to darkandmetric [2011-07-08 04:59:01 +0000 UTC]
In mine. I can always tell what I wrote at night from what I wrote during the day. The right words never come as easily during the day, especially for poetry.

For me, even in my prose I seem to say the right things easier. Maybe not now, per se - after a while, actual fatigue sets in and I get clumsy with words...but just before that. Say, 11pm to 12am - that's my prime hour.

vamp-princess667 In reply to darkandmetric [2011-07-08 05:14:47 +0000 UTC]
Prose really depends on who I'm writing as. I do a LOT of role play writing (it's good writing practice, but it's easily addictive) and my character muses come and go. Writing as Nicole comes easier at night, whereas Lucy and Jared are more daytime people. And then sometimes the muse leaves completely and it doesn't matter what time of day it is. Yeah, I think my best writing hour is around in there too. Sometimes later, depending on what the idea is.

Awkward...lol
Well at least you're honest.
Okay, you know those songs you listen to once, and then you have to play again...and again...and again...and again? And they're really annoying, and you don't actually like them, but they're so stuck in your head that you can't stop?
π: 0 β©: 1
darkandmetric In reply to vamp-princess667 [2011-07-08 05:40:40 +0000 UTC]
Well generally I like those songs, so I don't really know what you're talking about.
Why do you download songs you don't like?
π: 0 β©: 1
vamp-princess667 In reply to darkandmetric [2011-07-08 05:50:23 +0000 UTC]
I like some of them, but then there are the ones that are just so catchy that you can't get rid of them.
I found it on YouTube, and I've been hitting the replay button for the last 45 minutes. Haha. It sort of fit with what I was writing...kinda. Iiiiii should probably stop now and put something else on.

What do you listen to when writing? I generally put on something chill or atmospheric. Lately, it's been [link] - either Insomnia Plague or Milk. I have no idea if you'll be into it, but it's free, anyway.

vamp-princess667 In reply to darkandmetric [2011-07-09 05:23:25 +0000 UTC]
What I listen to really depends on what I'm writing. Usually I listen to something that fits the tone of what I'm writing. Sometimes I have playlists that fit this piece of writing or that specific character, but it depends. I've been listening to this a lot: [link] The whole thing, over and over. Also a lot of Kate Voegele's music.
I gave it a listen. It's interesting! Not quite my cup of tea, but it was cool to hear.

Forest?
Okayyy. Well I made a mistake in signing up here. My username was supposed to be forestofmagic, but I'm an idiot. Hahaha. forestofmagic is my username on every other site, and people I talked to gave me the nickname Forest. I like it, so I just ask people to use it. I wish it was my real name, but it's not. My real name is not as cool. :/

It's the kind of name you get when your parents are hippies. Basically, people with the coolest upbringing ever.

Haha, true, true. But no hippie parents here. Just an old online username that stuck.
What about you? How did you end up with your name?

darkandmetric In reply to vamp-princess667 [2011-07-09 16:03:50 +0000 UTC]
My actual name? My parents liked it better than Dominic. It's just John in a different language, it's not particularly unique/cool, haha.
My username is just a They Might Be Giants song.

vamp-princess667 In reply to darkandmetric [2011-07-11 05:36:03 +0000 UTC]
I like it. I like Dominic too. Hahaha. I don't know anyone with your name besides you. That makes it more unique than my real name...oh, and my nickname. Damn...Hahaha.
They Might Be Giants. Oooh man. I know one song by them, and I don't know what it's called, but I can sing the whole thing...It starts with "Violin-lin-lin, violin-lin-lin, violin-lin-lin, ohhhhhh" and then goes into "Hippo, hippo, hippo..." Hahahaha. That's the only song by them that I know.

It's just called "Violin," haha. It's from their first kids album. They do a few of them because they make songs that don't condescend to kids, which, I think, is rare.
Honestly, if you were in Italy, it's probably the most common name you'll find. I'm in suburban Canada and I'm also the only one with that name so far so...it depends where you go.
I do want my kids to have cool names, though. People are uncreative. Did you know last year's most common name for girls was "Isabella"? I can't even imagine why.

vamp-princess667 In reply to darkandmetric [2011-07-12 04:26:44 +0000 UTC]
(I did actually have to sing it as I typed out what I know of that song, too. Hahaha.) Oh, that explains how I found it. I must have typed "violin" into YouTube when I was searching for something new to play. Haha.
True. But I'm from a place my friend Ethan likes to call "Twilightland." AKA Pacific Northwest USA, so Iiiii don't know anyone with your name.
*sigh* The only reason I can come up with is that the main character in Twilight is named Isabella. And I hate that reason. So I have no idea. It's not a bad name, but it's been tainted by the presence of sparkly vampires. Thanks, Stephanie Meyer.

Ehhh, life.. has been.. Well... Hell currently, but I'm making my way through it, especially with friends like you helping me. ;3 Anyway, I'm glad I replied on here too, cause now I'm back in contact with one of my bestest friends! ^^
But yeah, maybe we can do another rp, the four of us once more eh? For old times sake? xD
I dunno what has gotten into Trancy though, he seems.. Sad. D: Or it probably is just me. He was like ma and still is like my bro. And I hope that he talks to me soon again.
Uchy? I got hold of her REAL fast. xD If you ever have the chance, why not instant mail me eh? Taylor1813@yahoo.com is my email. ;3 I'm there frequently.

I'm glad you're making it through.
Oooh, we should totally try! Oh...But I asked Sammy a while ago about RPing and he says he doesn't really do it anymore. D: Maybe we can rope him back in? His life has been hard lately.
Aww! I haven't talked to Trancy lately. I'll have to get back in contact with him.
Uchyyyy! I love that girl. I haven't talked to her either! *hits self for losing contact with so many people*
I'll e-mail you soon! (Probably tomorrow...I've had a hard day, as it says in my journal. )
