Things are doing fine.

My RV had three things broken when I set up, a pipe, the toilet, and the LP regulator. It cost nearly $600 and several days of discomfort, phone calls, etc. to fix. I pretty much have no money until I get a paycheck.

I brought my two youngest male rats, Tulio and Miguel, with me. My parents plan to bring my cat Lily to me in a week or so. (She would have hated all the repair guys in and out.)

Right now, I'm working on a few sign/interpretive exhibit projects. I will be stationed at the new visitor center in Beaufort once it opens at the end of April. It's on the busiest street in a fairly bustling tourist town 30 minutes drive away. So, it will be a much different kind of job. -- Usually given to a higher grade employee. I'm still paid the GS 04 wage, but I look forward to having more duties and responsibilities. Plus, it will be a 40 hour work week with some Sunday pay, so I'm happy for that.

Ranger Dale is a man who started out between a rock and a hard place, literally, and made the best of it in fairly short order. He came up hard and fast. I believe he loved working for the USNPS so much that he did it to live and lived to do it, and is still doing it today.

He is serving his third term as Superintendent. Nobody does this. He stepped down to take this tour of duty. Ranger Dale will retire here. Since 2004, he has worked miracles for the Smokies. Some folks do not like him, because he is stern when his mind is made up. Others, which includes most of us, respect him highly and love him much. I wish you could meet him in person.

I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that Ranger Dale would enjoy having you on his team. His are some hard working Park Rangers. Fine people, indeed. And all are very likable and fun folks to know.

Just received my copy of Used Books the Masquerade.

Ordered it last month but the company apparently forgot all about me. Went online to the web site and asked for the status and it was updated to "printed" and then I received it only 3 days later. The company is physically locate about 2 hours drive from me :) (Smile)

Any who, looks good. Great quality printing. Looking forward to rereading the story in print. It will make a nice addition to my graphic novel collection.

Cool. :) (Smile) I'm still waiting for my ten copies. They sent me some books, but there was a mix-up and all were grayscale! I emailed then and they immediately started reprinting. My new set just shipped. I hope it's in color!
