Hey Dan- great gallery!
I'm really curious about your IR work, as I was led to believe that it's not possible to work with infra red using the Canon EOS system. You seem to have done it anyway and with brilliant results. I hope you have time to explain how how how?

It's a little more invasive a procedure than I had expected- don't think I'm ready to take my 400D apart quite yet! Thanks so much for the reply and for the link though. I guess I'll just have to admire your IR images and stick to the traditional methods with my own pics. Thanks again though!

yeah, I agreed 100% w/you on not risk your camera, I'm on the market for a Nikon D300 so i will send my D70 to get IR ready... I'm doing this for a video production for a rock band. i thing it will came out nice and very dramatic video.
good luck, and have a great day!

The D70 is IR ready, ready then most that's for sure - I used my D70 (Unmodified) for awhile before i converted my 350D.
Try the D70 with the hoya r72 external filter - You'll be surprised how great a camera it is for unmodified IR shots
By the By, done right the Mod is absolutely fine and with very minimal risk - I guess the main question is do you like IR enough to dedicate a camera to it; and my answer was absolutely yes

That sounds very interesting, using IR for a video production! I'll be keeping an eye on your stuff anyway, but the video sounds cool- if you manage to post it I'd love to hear about it.
Have a great day too!
