can i ask u a question about the show (higurashi no...)? why are all the characters always killing each other? i havent watched or read it yet, but does it have a solid plot (meaning it doens't only have ppl killing and torturing each other)??

Hmm, well in every stories they always have their reasons to kill people. In first arc Keiichi who just moved in Hinamizawa and got nice friends heard about mysterious death what always happen every year at the same time. Next day those people who told him about deaths die and Keiichi's friends are always somehow really suspect in this death series. Keiichi believed they want to kill him so he go insane in the end.
In other arc is girl named Shion. Her loved one disapeard in strange conditions and she believe that her sister Mion and other people in her clan killed him, she kill everyone who her suspect.

And about that arc system (I'm not very good at this things so copypaste from one manga x'D ): The story is divided into a total of eight chapters: four "Question" arcs and four "Answer" arcs. Each chapter keeps the same main characters, but ends in a different way. However, each chapter gives valuable answers, hints, and clues to the previous one, while at the same time bringing forth even more mysteries.
The question arcs are: Onikakushi-hen, Watanagashi-hen, Tatarigoroshi-hen and Himatsubushi-hen.
The answer arcs are: Meakashi-hen, Tsumihoroboshi-hen, Minagoroshi-hen and Matsuribayashi-hen.
The side story arcs are: Onisarashi-hen, Yoigoshi-hen, and Utsutsukowashi-hen

And there is complete first arc: [link] You can find them all in one manga but some of them are still ongoing. Anime is already complete so it's better watch it first. ;9
Guys who made Higurashi made other horror series too "Umineko no naku koro ni" It have same arc system and anime is still ongoing, same with manga but I still link first arc for you ^^ [link]
