I love that his music at first glance just seems like "edgy teenager music" but then you think about it and it's great.
One of my favorite quotations I've heard from him is: "I’ve never tried to be shocking. The only thing you can do is confuse people, because it makes them think. And the art of confusion and chaos is the way to make people think, the way to create a catalyst of change.” And you realize how true that shows up in his music

I always hated Marilyn Manson, I thought he was an overrated talentless hack, on the radio they would only play his Sweet Dreams and Personal Jesus covers wouldn't dare touch any of his other songs, ever, under any circumstance, one day I went on YouTube to see if Marilyn Manson actually had just one good song, just one, so I could call him a one-hit wonder, and he not only had a good song but like 50 amazing ones

I wish I HAD SOME. Hahahah. I haven't done much with patreon yet since I... don't have any patrons. So if you're starting one up, I'd first say make sure you have a big enough reach / people that will actually pledge otherwise it'd be more of a distraction. I'm actually probably going to put mine on hold because of this-- since I don't have any pledges if I maybe got one or two it'd be more effort to try and manage it for such little interest. Instead, I'm going to refocus on building a following and strengthening my art so hopefully I will reach a point where I will have enough pledges. Cost-benefit analysis haha.

Otherwise, just make a clear, simple plan for reward tiers. Start small, you can always add on later and that way you can ensure you get the hang of everything. Showing examples of rewards is definitely a good idea, and just make your page as professional but inviting as possible. 
Organization is pretty key-- I've seen some patreon pages where I can't really figure out what the artist is offering for each tiers and they don't seem professional. From a potential pledge, this isn't very promising of an investment because I don't know what I will be receiving, and might even doubt if I will receive it at all.
Professionalism and optimism is really beneficial. I've seen other pages where the artist is like "uh you can support my art or whatever. cool." and that just doesn't seem as promising either. It's not inviting, and the artist doesn't seem passionate about actually providing content for their pledges. You're selling your brand, but you also have to address the audience because it's not just a seller-buyer interaction, and it's a bit more personal. I'd rather be pledging to someone who seems enthusiastic that they have supporters and are open to hearing from their pledges and what their pledges would like to see, as opposed to an artist who just casually throws up some files and doesn't really seem to care about my support.

Hopefully that answered your question! Unfortunately I don't have much technical experience because I like in the dark recesses of the internet, so I guess I will have to wait until I have more of a following haha.
