It's kinda reminiscent of the landscape of 'The Middle of Nowhere' from "Courage, the Cowardly Dog" show. :'D

tsuyamia In reply to cozzypaper [2011-01-13 19:11:53 +0000 UTC]
haha yes, but unfortunately when I moved to the states, both my middle school and high school only offered Spanish, so I've forgotten quite a bit. I just now realized that I conjugated "parlez" wrong earlier.
indeed, it's very nice to meet another Canadian on dA
although I must say you are much more talented and dedicated than I am. ^w^

lol yeah theres not much french speaking in the US lol. And honestly I cant blame you for speling one word wrong XD I misspel both in french and english all the time! Anyways french conjugaisons are way to complicated as fr being talented, thank you very much! Dedicated, I dont find myself dedicated ENOUGH, but thank you again! And you know I dont think I am anymore then you are!

tsuyamia In reply to cozzypaper [2011-01-13 19:34:14 +0000 UTC]
well thank you! that's a really great compliment coming from you! ^-^
but peering through your gallery, I really admire the versatility in your drawing style, and your attention to proportions/anatomy is amazing, so honestly you deserve every bit of praise!
I'm more of a casual artist, honestly, and I'm slowly weaning myself off of using visual references and working on poses, but it's a slow process
and you're right about the lack of french in the US lol. About 1 in every 6 or so high schools in my area would actually provide it, but thankfully the universities offer good french programs. XD

oh my you're gonna make me blush! And I'm always impressed when someone form America speaks french to me

tsuyamia In reply to cozzypaper [2011-01-13 21:47:12 +0000 UTC]
Haha, je m'excuse. ^-^; I don't mean to embarrass you.
I don't consider myself American, really. I have a Canadian citizenship and a permanent resident card for the US. It's actually odd how Canada and most other countries allow dual citizenship, but in the US, it's theirs or nothing. XP

cozzypaper In reply to tsuyamia [2011-01-13 21:52:10 +0000 UTC]
lol actually anglophone canadians speaking french impress me too, after all, even if the politic of the country is bilingualism, in practice, they dont HAVE to speak french at all, unless they,re politicians.... so it kinda feels like a favor somehow. or maybe i'm just weird lol. And so of course, i didint mean to say that you where American, I was referring to your comment about very few schools offering french classes! How can many Americans speak french, if its hard to get a school to learn it lol. Not that they'd have much use for it anyways
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
tsuyamia In reply to cozzypaper [2011-01-13 22:38:19 +0000 UTC]
ahah, oh there's no offense taken, and I can see what you mean by the country being politically bilingual. Still, America really should try following example since they're still considered a monolingual country.
I've actually had people ask me if I spoke "Canadian" when I first moved here... >.>;
That question alone makes me a little concerned about the ignorance of people in general.

cozzypaper In reply to tsuyamia [2011-01-13 22:41:12 +0000 UTC]
rofl! XD nice one! I was told while on a trip to california, that canadian actually called canada "Canadia" and asked if other canadians spoke english....
I'm still uncertain if those where jokes or not....

tsuyamia In reply to cozzypaper [2011-01-13 22:57:36 +0000 UTC]
rofl XDD
oh geez. that's kind of sad, since Cali is supposed to be one of the more "informed" and open-minded areas of the U.S.
The south-eastern part of the U.S., well, that tends to speak for itself regarding ignorance.

mmm...wow, this conversation made me hungry for a poutine. >.<

for some odd reason i find that pรขtรฉ chinois is much more of a Quรฉbec classic then poutine... I wonder why :/

it probably is, lol. I've just always been addicted to poutines, myself. Maybe it has something to do with being born in Ottawa, idk. XD
