You're welcome. I just finished my Sr. Project in stop motion, so I appreciate the work involved.
Did you have to do anything special to upload your piece? I'm finding the video upload thing confusing.

You must first apply to be a part of the deviantART film industry by posting your 10-second or shorter clip from one of your films to a site like YouTube or something similar, and then send in the link for the admins to watch and approve or disapprove.

no problem! it reminded me of that ravenwood ? wine label.
The line work is incredible and the color scheme really works. The highlights especially in the eyes are great.

origami... must...fave
I liked the quality/weight of the paper you used contrasting with the subject matter of the model.
and I really like the counter top? or whatever your models are photographed against. The black/dark grey stone or paper with the spottish marks. It makes the models stand out really well.
am a sucker for nice paper

the finish is really nice. done in Silver? and method? did you built it up or have it cast?
I really like how the handle wrap flows into the stringing loop.

In regards to the finish, I polished it with sandpaper up to 800 grit then used xxxx steel wool. It was alot more shinny but because its regular steel as apposed to Stainless, had to coat it with lacquer as rust preventative. Thats why there is a wavy & satin sort of effect. I wish i had the means to cast things! Its one piece that i cut out of steel strap using a Saws-All, Dremmel and a grinder. Then i hand filed it and heated the handle in order to get the wrap.

steel? and hand filing?
Hand filing is a lot of work. Steel even more so, I would assume. Most of my metal experience is with copper and fine silver which are definitely softer metals.
The finish is great, it's probably the lacquer I'm noticing.

Steel is rediculously hard to work with and being that i dont even have a vice im left with having to hold things with one hand and file with the other. Needless to say by the end of the project my hands are about useless HA HA! Id love to work with silver, copper and brass, ive never had the pleasure.I like the patina that those metals acquire over time.

sanding.hands.useless. yeah been there. Had a hollow-form piece that took 2 days of sanding to get the halves to align.
And then I made a mess soldering it and it took another day of sanding to clean it up.
came out nice though.
