No problem on the favs, it is a nice desk.

I dont have aim I use adium and there isnt a link to add a aim. I was just wondering how you change the finder icon (have you changed your to a black apple?)

i also use adium. Yes go to ....

system/coreservices/dock/contents/resources

Replace finder.png with the desired image you want. Enter admin password to verify if asked. Go to user/library/preferences and delete......

Open terminal found in /applications/utilities and type.....

Killall Dock to refresh dock and clear cache.

Always backup your files before you delete is good idea.

Thanks I think i got it, except I dont appear to have an icon suitable as when I follow the instructions i end up with a dock with an invisible finder icon?

I have lots of icons but maybe they cant replace a leopard finder as the one I used on tiger is also unsuitable.

So either I am doing something wrong or dont have the right icon.

Could you forward me an icon you have used for the finder so I can try that maybe the black apple icon? stewartfinn at hotmail.com

No probs...its actually the reason I joined DA this time around, I was looking for a wallpaper that incorporated a similar chair..in a warehouse environment....so your is a excellent reference point....where did you find your chair?...I found 1 on istockphoto but don't think its the same one.

I found the chair when I was on my way to work one morning. It was very strange to see a red leather chair sat in a one of the city's Norman towers on a rug. no idea what it was doing there x
