It is a weird thing that Deviant Art put out... you hit a friend's site, in upper corner you click the "Give" icon and choose Llama... it is free and if you get 10, the icon is upgraded to a Super Llama

That is AWESOME INFORMATION! Can I put some of it on my blog and then ping back to your stuff? When I do searches on Google it is hard to find the good stuff (that isn't a kabillion dollars). So a blog post might just help nudge search stats closer to right path for folks.

I converted my machine (and I was a Microsoft Partner small business) to Open Office, and I bought ArtRage last year (2 copies)! Gimp I am not so enamored with yet...maybe it has improved since I last tried it? I have Photoshop Elements and Xara (Xara is awesome for vector art). Go FOSS!

Glad to hear you have Artrage 
Gimp has improved but not enough. Its a great alternative for those who don"t have access to anything better but if you have Photoshop then I wouldn't bother with it.
