I'm going to try a couple of publishing houses that don't require a literary agent first, then if that fails try getting a literary agent... Only if everything else fails will I self-publish, I want to go mainstream.

I was the idiot that forgot about the concept of backing it up, so all 8000 words got eaten on Thursday. Dunno if I'll finish it now, but anyway. Good luck with yours!

I forgot about the backing up thing too, but I only lost about 500 words.

It is easier the second time around, because you know what you want to write already, so it flows more easily and comes out sounding better.

Though 8K. Wow. That's a lot.
