Sadly, I don't have any good progress to show off. Way too much slacking on my end, and dealing with personal stuff. No real excuses for it, of course, just something I have to push through and improve myself on. I'll drop you a link to check out once I've got something more tangible. It's in java now, though, not flash, because I wanted to add proper mod support / scripting... You know, if I get back off of my lazy ass and start making daily progress again. <_<

I'd love to see, dude! Proper modding and scripting is definitely something you don't worry about until you've got quite a bit of experience; that may be why you're procrastinating--you're overwhelming yourself, hun~ 

Have you ever played SecondLife? It's really fun, and it helps you learn how to script/mod :3

Nothing unmanageable. Depression and such, but I've been taking meds, seeing, people, etc. 

Haven't played SecondLife, myself. I got most of my programming experience through teaching myself and trying to figure out how to get programs to do what I wanted them to. It was never really difficult, I just struggled with motivation, per the depression. I'll take your advice though and try to be a bit less hard on myself.

Hah. Clearly I'm never on DA. >_<

Its a top-down space sim, where you fly around the galaxy, shoot things with a spaceship, shoot things *in* your spaceship, and do your best to keep yourself and your crew alive while the galaxy tears itself apart around you. Ship combat plays like Starsector, indoors combat plays like Endless War, and the people running around on your ship are managed like Roller Coaster Tycoon. (Not expecting anyone to know more than the last reference there)

Mechanics of the game are a long way from done, though, and creating the content after that will take at least as long ^_^

I've decided my favorite part about this setup is going to making interactions between very.... prude... and very... not-prude... characters ^_^
Like having a character in the sims that flipped out every time someone walked into the bathroom he was in, and other character you've named honey badger who keeps doing it because he doesn't give a .

(the programmer side of me is screaming and demanding that I say something about dynamic ship fracture damage and vacuum physics but he's just angry because I need more sleep and less webcomics, so he gets his suggestion tossed down here in parentheses)
