Welcome to DA I hope you enjoy this wonderful resource

Are you thinking of taking your students out to pile up rocks? It was fun doing it.

Thanks very much for the fave, I appreciate it. And in a section called "Lesson Ideas", too!

Thanks again!

Thanks for adding my stuff to your faves. Especially under Lesson Ideas. I have to wonder what you think it can bring to the table in an art education sense.
"Don't ever do this"?, or "Small paintings are a waste of space", perhaps.

I'd love to know.

haha, no, I'm thinking of doing a painting with my level 1 class where they paint their own dog or cat, or any other animal with that same style you use. The nice clean hard edge, lots of contrast and saturated colors. your piece is a great example for my students who may want to get creative and imaginative with their animals....I love it and i will let you know how they turn out.!!

Ahah!
I must admit to a bit of influence from Reg Mombassa. He's worth a look if you're into bold keylines and full on color. Good (bad?) humor too. You won't find him on this site, unfortunately.

here's stuff about him: [link]

and here's some art: [link]

just to make it easy for you.

I'd love to see what they do.

thanks for the fav, I really like your tape sculptures and the form that they have. i couldnt help but read through your comments and notice you're an art teacher, I'm finishing my student teaching and on my way to do that very thing

Gald to hear that you like the sculpture, its really easy to make, all you need is masking or blue painters tape. I am also finishing my masters in education/teaching in Denver Public Schools and the University of Denver! Your ceramics are amazingly creative and abstract! some of the best vessels I have seen in a long time. I am also a ceramist and have been firing kilns for a local denver artist...yet I have been lazy and need to upload more of my stuff to DevaintART...keep in touch!

Thats a great idea! My teacher is always saying we should photograph all our art as we go along, so I started putting it up here anyway
