i use software, corel photopaint, download some textures before and paste it on da photograph with differend settings of layers. sometimes i do my own textures, i ve made a transparent texture for my castle, by erasing smal dots by the eraser with characteristic shape and spread bleeding, on da black background. the last step is changing the color settings to duotone, some playing with da curves included.
