Thanks! People started wanting one after I did one for my other account, Wadaen. It's good practice, but time consuming.

I wouldn't think twice about not watching you. Someone had linked me to your page and I thought your sketches and interior designing was jaw dropping. I am not much of an architect, but hell, I know good work when I see it.
Your images are very inspiring. Keep it up my good man!
And yes. Alphonse Mucha~.

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy. Mucha is the man for many many deviants for good reason, but truly, many late 19th century artists and architects were expert at drawing. It may become a lost art due to the increasing power of the computer...

Art Nouveau, in general, is pretty beautiful. Although, when it comes to painting, I am more influenced by the Baroque period of artists such as Rembrandt and Caravaggio. Their use of dramatic lighting has a heavy impact on how I look at form and figure. It's true that artists are beginning to embrace technology more and more, but it doesn't necessarily mean that individuals are not turning back to the roots. (Artists in general should always look at the earlier masters for technique, and we even look back for inspiration.) Technology normally just helps the process move along faster, or rather it is almost another category of art itself.
For those who do things the "traditional" way are impressive though, honest. However, I can and cannot say it takes more dedication to do so. ;]
I admit though, architecture is completely out of my league...and having little experience with interior design (spent some time in middle school making a dream house on the computer), that's a lot of work. I applaud you.

I am basically an art history major, so Caravaggio was a favorite in the early years. You have good taste! Architectural design is extremely complex and nobody really gets any good at it 'til they get some serious experience under their belt. It's too dang complicated. Laws, codes, dimensions, building techniques, client's desires, pricing, engineering, good design practice, architectural history, etc etc... it takes years to get SOME of it down and get sorta competent. I think the big advantage to technology is that it's much easier to control color application (2D) and it's a huge advantage to be able to model a structure or other entity in 3 dimensions and spin it around in real time to look at it from different angles (3D.)

Art history major? Ah, well, that definitely makes me much more inferior. I had only one high school year with art history (which frankly was just last year). My tastes are definitely obscure. I wouldn't say good to all individuals. Robert Motherwell, Ron Mueck, Duane Hanson, Chuck Close, Gustave Caillebotte...which all have their unique styles of constructing their pieces. I can imagine architecture being really complex, and starting off designing things at a young age would benefit. Yes, 3D models of a structure would seem to be a very helpful application.

I know all those guys except Mueck. I took art history in high school too. I had a great art teacher that also taught art history. I would encourage someone young to NOT design so much as draw: look closely at old buildings, and learn how to draw them, paying attention to details like brackets, moldings, door surrounds, barrel tile and slate roofs, etc. I drew "in the street" literally quite a lot many yrs ago...

Sorry for the late response, man! Ron Mueck's hyper-realistic sculptures are quirky, but very admirable. I have faced some great kids who do well with interior designing on the computer, and have a great imagination. However, they just don't "draw" per se. They can't put pen to paper, and they don't even try their hand at it. It's a bit disappointing, because looking at the years of experience under your belt, being able to do some technical artwork on your architecture has served you well.
By the way, thanks for leaving such fantastic responses. I haven't had a nice talk with someone on Deviantart for some time.

My pleasure! I have an architect, young guy, who did my CAD construction plans. Very smart, detail oriented, listens well, makes no mistakes. Knows the codes and laws and catches my mis-steps. But he can't draw anything! They're taught the technical and sculptural modernist design, but they wouldn't know how to draw a bracket or a custom door or roof tiles or anything. Late response=no prob, take yer time, I'm on deviant on and off a lot because I put up this and another new site he he...

Aheh~ Well, I suppose my last statement was a bit rash, and I should apologize for that. I am glad that the cooperation between the both of you works out well! As for me, I rarely comment on Deviantart myself, just lurk. I haven't submitted anything in quite awhile...I've almost lost all my motivation. It's just nice to talk to someone with great experience and input, since I am still fairly young myself. Thumbs up for learning.
Good luck, man. I am looking forward to more of your images.
