My tatoos are all of my own design also. I actually want this one on my shoulder. Just haven't done it yet. My tattooist died this year, and I haven't found anyone I like. IF you do it, I want pictures.

There is still a lot of stigma attached to tattooing. And there are a lot of people that want to use it for shock value. I think they do more harm then good for the art form. Personally I would like to see it raised to something to be admired.

me too, it's sad that there's still a lot of people who think that tattoos are symbols of criminalls or madmen, especially in Poland, i meet many (also young) persons who have this way of thinking and i wish they saw form of art in tattoos..

I can see how in a place such as Poland, given it's history, that tattooing would be frowned upon. I have only known one person from Poland that had a tattoo, and a Nazi gave it to her.
Give it time, opinions aren't changed over night. In the USA Tattooing has onlybecome socially acceptable in the last 3 to 5 years. A lot of people still look down upon it. My mom freaked when she found out about my tattoos. My father still does not know, and I am married with 2 children. Be tattooed and be a good person, eventually others will figure it out.

Sorry for no hearing from me for long time, i was on my deviant but i hadn't time to send you some message.. By the way.. nice to have some speaker here. I'm really shocked that you are married and have familly and your father still doesn't know that you have some tattoos , it's quite strange, but i can see you point - probably you donn't want to disappoint him.. Honestly my parents also freaked when they found out about my tattoos, but i think they are more tolerant, they want to accept it and i wish yours also will done it

Sorry it so long for me to reply. Busy. Don't worry about the English being a little rough. I have some friends that do not speak English as their first language. Sometimes they butcher it so bad we can't help but laugh, and I butcher their language. So it's all fair.
My father is a great man. He is loving and generous and will always be there for my sister and I, but he also has old fashioned views. He would be upset, but he wouldn't be mad. Does that make sense? He would still love me, so I save him the pain of knowing about the tattoos. I love him enough to do that. My mother found out when she made a comment about being so proud of her daughters for not getting tattoos. I showed her mine right there. She wanted to know if anything was pierced? No. She was okay with it. She said her only concern was about the fading. I can always have them re-inked. My tattoos are hidden under everyday clothing. That was my choice. Sometimes the tattoos show, sometimes they don't. I try to make it where people see me before they see the tattoos, it helps.

Yeah, you are right and it does make sense. I think you are great person and of course great daughter, if i were your mother i'd be proud of you
