If by basics you mean a general course on doing everything then no, I do contemporary arts, its basically a fancy name for fine arts really - kinda boring but doing different things is great. Basically in my course i do Analytical drawing, mixed media, exploitative media, painting classes, drawing classes and a design class but next semester things change and I'll be doing life drawing for example. It's pretty tedious at points but I mean its all for a portfolio so it's all good ^^

sounds cool! i dont know what i want to do in life so im just sticking to math, history, english, and maybe science! just in case i cant find something for a while at least ill have college credit to land myself a job or something ^^'

I'm kinda like that right now so I'm just doing what i know i can do fairly well, i do love history and science tho (chemistry especially) but oof I've been trying to get a job for the past couple of months and no luck so far :/ its so annoying especially with Christmas coming up

luckily i landed a job in may and ive had it since then, its my first one and i got pretty lucky because its like.. the best job ever? at least to me x"D but im only able to support myself on this job because im not paying bills so i imagine its more difficult for you?

I've basically been on the job search for a while - its not been successful so im kinda thinking of trying to do some commission work yknow but i dont know where to start ect ect, its just to get some form of income i mean im not in a dire situation but my mum n dad are getting reallly mad at me and i mean i can see why - its just hard when most employers want experience where ive got like... none pfft

the most i can offer to you for advice is doing community service and writing that down as experience! tell them you NEED this job to learn and show them with all it takes that you are willing to do the best for that company/business! 
some might not budge, but hopefully that should help you with other jobs
