Yeah, work is slow but I plan to see it through to the end. Have mostly been practicing with making tiles over the last year, it really helps to be able to have more control over how the game will look. And yeah, being introduced to fakemon and fan projects was the coolest stuff ever to me back then, it was just cool to be a part of something like that. I've heard a lot of praise for monster hunter, I usually play more turn based stuff as opposed to action rpgs but I might check it out. The cyberpunk collab sounds very cool too! I love those kinds of settings and the whole "futuristic dystopia" vibe that your newer work gives off. I don't really hang around PC as much anymore but I'll probably post a thread there for my fangame when the time comes just so it can exist in a permanent place, the scene has kind of moved off of forums and onto places like twitter/discord from what I've seen. Most of the people I know doing fangame stuff these days are ones I met on discord.

Oh for sure, when I first got my hands on Diamond/Pearl, I could tell it was a huge step up even though I enjoyed RSE a ton, I think I stayed up until 1 AM playing it secretly even though I was only 11 at the time. Sounds like you're a true monster hunter vet anyways, I only remember people talking about in recent years. I remember wanting to play one of the spinoffs (monster hunter stories) since it looked similar to Pokemon but never got around to it. Looking forward to seeing the final product of the cyberpunk project, will definitely download the artbook! The team for Peridot is mostly myself and another contributor who's helping with overworld sprites so I don't really have a server or anything like that yet, if I ever decide to set one up I'll keep you posted. Itch and Newgrounds are interesting ideas as well although I'm not sure if Itch allows fan/derivative works to be posted. It'll be a while before I make it to the demo because I'm taking a lot of the workload on myself and the game has gone through a lot of revamps over the years, but I'll get there

man, what i'd do to have them back. and yeah good point re: mh, apparently the spinoff didn't get great reviews either. my backlog is kinda huge atm regardless but i'll see if i can fit it in. anyways i appreciate the encouragement, helps keep me going!
