You have inspired me to try something new! I may not do very well, but I am going to try a stone carving. I will get a small piece of soapstone or alabaster and see if I like working with stone as much (or more so) as working with clay. :D (Big Grin)

Thank you for the favourite. I like your stone carvings, I have often been thought about learning how to carve stone, but I guess for the moment I have stuck to my wood carving. One day I will try it.

Do you carve in soft stone, such as limestone or sandstone, or do you ever use granite or basalt? I don't know much about stone work, but have always liked the look of granite.
