I love it here so much. I'm majoring in New Media Design and Imaging (RIT is the only college in the US with this major). It's basically web design, graphic design, typography, and some animation and 3d graphics. It's a pretty darn awesome major. A bunch of people I know actually switched from being a graphic design major to being new media because, in my opinion, it's better.
Seriously though, this school is so great. CIAS (the College on Imaging Arts and Sciences) is absolutely fantastic. The facilities and resources they provide are great, and all of the professors are extremely helpful and friendly. If you couldn't tell, I adore this school and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to be an art major of any sort.
Also, you aren't required to take any math or science classes if you are in CIAS (unless you want to of course), which is AWESOME in my opinion since I am not a huge fan of math and science. Seriously though, apply here. If they accept you into a major other than the one you wanted, it is really easy to switch into the major that you wanted originally. They are really willing to work with you here. Please apply. You would love it.
And if you can somehow get up here to Rochester and take a tour or come to an open house, tell me so I can give you a tour myself! That would be awesome!!!

Last time I was on here I got a virus, so I've been scared haha
but okay! I need to look into scholarships and stuff, but it would be sooooo fun to come out there for a tour. So I'll definitely keep you updated(:
